I dunno how someone who is 1/4 Hyderabadi, 1/4 pathan, part Kashmiri is not an Indian by ethnicity😆. I mean how much heartland could you get than hailing from north, east, and south of Indian subcontinent?

SRK is actually an Afghan. His family belongs to Afghanistan mainly, later moved to Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. That region is filled with Afghans. Its irony that a non-Indian by ancestry was once upon a time considered king of Bollywood.

Dear God. 😆 I'm hardly a bhakt, but they're not always wrong, either. Yeah, Afghan area was considered part of greater India. Gandhar mentioned in Mahabharata (Duryodhana's mom's country) is in modern-day Afghanistan. Indus valley civilization included parts of what is now Afghanistan. The Maurya dynasty encompassed the region. You could check a history book instead of hurling names.

Even if you believe none of it, genetic studies are out there which show same ancestry all the way to Iran. I mention this because the poster claimed SRK was not ancestrally Indian.

Of course, the above explanations are simplistic and generalizing a few millenia of history which is extremely complicated, but what do you want on IF Bollywood Forums? A history lecture and a list of who was in charge at Afghanistan at what point in time?😆 National Geographic website has more if you're really interested.

Besides, SRK is only one quarter pathan. He's mentioned his ancestry in several places. His mom was part Hyderabadi. Some part of him is Kashmiri. How the heck is he not Indian even if by some miracle pathan genetics are shown to be completely diff from Indian?
