Masculanity..

I am really amused at the way the makers are showing male dominance or patriarchy or masculanity in this show.

Kaku and co especially kaku and sonali were happy and felt it was needed when viray stopped sai by holding her hand and threatened her to lock her.

They werent ashamed of what he was doing bt felt it was right nd needed and actually celebrated it. They made ashwini make a move and explain virat abt his mistake and tried to balance it. Bt it wasnt enough.

Atleast in tamil version the apology was at another level. Bt here it wasnt to that level also.

Now above all that ninad raised his hand on his bahu and kaku and co were ok with it. She was smiling at ninad's action and felt bad at virat stopping her.

In the topic which went on they hav conveniently ignored that scene.

I am really amused at how the makers are making such stupid mistakes. One side these makers talk abt women empowermnt, equal chances fr all genders and all nd in their shows they normalise such things.

I mean when they show a scene try to put the after effects of it. Let ppl know that when a father in law raises his hand on his bahu how will the son feel. How will the mother in law feel. How will the bahu herself feel abt the family and her sasur. Atleast balance with them so that if any one thinks this as normal they vl atleast know what effects it vl hav.

Just fr the sake of drama itv shows hav really normalised beating and humiliating in public. This has to change. Ppl are changing bt the drama content isnt.

Insulting ur wife, saying her u need a thappad to control u, shouting at her infront of everyone is all normalised in these shows.

The lukewarm response and the way scene got shifted to Pulkit really put me off.

The problem is PH doesn’t seem to understand the responsibility of airing a show in prime time and showing such patriarchic crap.

I sincerely hope there is some closure to that scene tomorrow. Even though I am very sceptical about it.
