This happened numerous times. Veer is ready to move on but Rani little hesitation is there still. She is holding bauji's photo frame and at one point she keeps it and move on with Veer out of the room.
So it symbolizes it's Bauji in her heart . If her heart is the room Veer is gving her hand to come out of it and she is giving her hand back with little hesitation while she keeps holding to her bauji.
