I don't think anyone is thinking at all - why would he go and tell the truth about the dress just like that. Would the family not ask - why Imli felt the need to lie? Why would he buy her a red suit on V day? Why did Sundar also lie? Once cant just go and spill the truth without it raising questions you have no answer for and will likely make your life difficult. And he is a reporter - gosh! If it was his disappointment at her returning his gift that precipitated the thought of coming clean - that was not acted well by BS. It was too casual.

They need to space out these "Truth almost out" moments more rather than literally doing them back to back in every other epi.....TRP aunties will also jhelo the drag only so long....lol I know abhi TRPs high hain toh they want to keep rinse/repeating this base point.....but they need to plan/balance it better.

LOL technically this gift wala jhoot also she said for others only cuz if truth bol dete toh hurt toh Malini ko hi hota.....but writers just wanted to do rinse/repeat drag on the gift issue toh yeh bulva diya Imlie se.....matlab ek point pe toh bechaari sahi prove hui thi, utna toh rehne dete use....but no, they had to suddenly make her repeat Adi ki "Sach suraj ki tarhaan hota hai" line and boost his ego again😕😆. He wasn't right in this situation....not one bit. But he didn't even have the gairat to admit that much....Imlie ne saamne se aake isko bol diya ki aap hi sahi the toh andar hi andar aur phool gaya ki haan main hi sahi tha🤔😆.....I think that is what put me off....ki even after Malini told him how she'd have reacted, he still let Imlie believe that she was wrong to do what she did....and apni galti bilkul bhi nahin maani that he shouldn't have gifted this to her like that on V-day.

Waise toh sach pe itne bhaashan and pravachan....but jab saamne se ek sach pata chalaa tab conveniently muh mein dahi jam gaya babusahib ke😆

I think they are dragging out on that because they are still checking how his character is received by the audience. Whether he is dying or whether rod he was dying for last 10 years and has just recovered will totally depend on that... unless they revealed it today? But how will they know the audience reactions if they do not give his character any substance? I think her father will know the truth first as he is planning to go to PD, till then it’s going to be hits and misses only. So we just have to keeping bearing it as part of ITV TRP pack and parcel. 😆

LOL I can't tell.....they mainly seem more focused every week on building drama around the two wives situation and "Will Malini learn the truth?" kind of stuff.....Nishant seems more like a side filler at this point to create more party scenarios in Tripathi house😕😆.....jabse yeh aaya hai, parties ke frequency badh rahi hai......lol

Shaadi truth toh is a long way away in terms of revelation....but I think for now, least they can do is reveal the sisters wala truth....ya Imlie ko ya Adi ko. Dev toh useless hi hai with his creepy eyed daily flipping mom😆

TRP drama ka part and parcel is fine but Adi needs to feel more discomfort daily rather than trying to retreat into his comfortable delusions.

I kind of felt that Malini words just blew over him, there was just no reaction, no acknowledgement. Infact, he seemed more focused on the fact that Sundar covered for him and then it was like shock, confusion, god knows what. I dont know if its was bad timing as her truth was overshadowed by Nishant illness and hence it did not have the desired impact but then look at the focus when she said Sundar explained to her. Priority, much?

Then it did not even flow to the next scene with Imlie. Itna jhatka laga that you do not even react to you wife's shaki mind, then shouldn't you he be asking Imlie about it because she got one more person involved in it. He is not a person who keeps stewing on things so him just dismissing her words and then jumping to "lets tell the truth" was so not him right? Bad direction, bad writing or an abrupt end to this whole gift sage and to create the next "OMG" moment? Whatever, it was just a very confusing episode.

I do not think that he would tell the truth. I really did not get that scene but, yes, he should have consider the consequences. But as we saw from this whole gift saga or his outburst at AC's house, he seems to be a very impulsive person. He sees a problem and wants to fix it without any thought of how it might impact everyone around him. Truth is his weapon so his thinking is that as long as he is telling the truth, everything else will work out. Well, it is true in his reporter world or if you have nothing to hide, but he is not got the memo yet, that now his life is not simple nor married life is that simple.

His major problem is that he does not know his Moon nor understands her. Even the simple things like, for example, how confidently he said during the dance that Moon does not need flower but she did and was upset that he was not giving one to her. So, I think, he has this image of her in his head and he thinks that as long as he has no hidden agenda, his Moon will understand. His "lets tell the truth about the gift" comes under this category that "I had no hidden agenda". Haa, he is in line for a lot of shocks where his darling "Moon" is concerned.

@bold: So so true... they are not even showing anything on that front. With him they take one step forward and two steps back. There have been so many scenarios where it should have clicked in him about Malini, about Imlie but nothing. Not even one small passing wayward thought. At this point, I will take even that. He is still the same Adi that was at the hospital or even before that. Yes, his relationship with Imlie has improved but other than that there is no progress. No self reflection nothing. I thought Nishant will help but yeh log parties se bahar aaye to kuch hoga 😆

Malini will not learn the truth so soon and even the TRP people know that after being part of ITV so long. so totally agree, they should not be doing that at every episode and need to pace it out so it has the desired impact.

yeah - if it was indeed Sundar that bothered him - he should have had a flashback to Imlie Sundar camaraderie or something like that. Here the scenes just fell flat - no reaction to Malini's confession and a lukewarm response to Imlies sach spiel.

What happens Monday? - more partying? Will he even feel a slight tweak that he cannot openly celebrate her birthday with haq?

That's a topic I thought Aditya would bring up with Imlie for sure... at least he should've asked her why she involved Sundar and how much she told him/what he knows.
