Age is a matter of mind over matter. If you don’t mind, then it doesn’t matter.
Late to the party ! But what an amazing episode as usual. 19/02
Such a beautiful, beautiful episode.
I honestly expected to be more upset, more sad, but tbh yesterday’s episode was so movingly honest and sweet - that I couldn’t resist making a post. Honestly, kudos to the creative team and both Amar and Priyal for portraying such immense justice to their respective characters.
The thing about an age gap difference is ..... no matter how much we try to normalise it ... our social customs or rather our genetic and social history provides various barriers and resistance to the notion. Because ideally when you mention such a wide age gap - the relations that come into your mind is definitely, the one between a father and daughter, uncle and niece, a mantis and mentee at-most.
So when you mention another aspect of love ... one which is more of a controversial kind - it is sort of an acceptable doubt. Matlab ho bhi kyun na ... especially in this society where if they were not married, people would be like arey kamse kam apne umar ki lihaz rakhthe. Wouldn’t we ? If our daughters bought home a man, so many years elder to her. Would we accept it in an instant.
So I am glad, that the makers are not sidestepping the main crux of the marriage.
Herein we have this wonderful man, who is torn at thought of this girl, so precious to him, possibly loving him and him not being able to return that love. He is so lost ... he is unable to concentrate. And I love how straightforward this relation, this man and the show is. Matlab yeh nahin ke hafte bhar misunderstandings ho ki pata nahin kya hua. Just a temporary restlessness and he just blurted out the truth.
And Priyal. Oh what an acting man. I could feel the fakeness and hurt springing out the laugh in waves. He trying to trivialise the situation. Matlab itni choti baat. Because honestly at that moment she would have been happier if he was upset over her being under the influence of nasha.
And she is a small girl. Her creativity and ability to lie is limited when her nature is to be as blunt as possible. So what to say matlab believable bhi toh lagna chahiye. This man is not talking to me coz he thinks I like him. If I say I don’t then, he will be like phir kyun bola ? Toh haan I love you , but it was coz of the romantic atmosphere. Still doesn’t seem very realistic. So next best weapon ? Tauji - it always was, only today it became a bit more serious than usual.
And our Mukhi ji. Pyaare mukhi ji, akdu mukhi ji.❤️😆
This guy. This is when you are too much of a good guy. I remembered someone had said ; that it is a matter if mind vs. heart. And truly beautifully so. We appreciate a man who is loyal. Somebody who commits to your memory to such a devotional extent. But he has given his heart to her. And it’s not like he is cheating. But dimaag ko aisa hi lag raha hai 🥺 bechara. He is like haan Achhi ladki hai, toh isiliye thoda zyaada pyaar dikha diya. Bechara he is sounding his own actions, ki unconsciously Maine kya lead in kiya. But he truly loves her.
Aisa haina the diff between his love and her love. He is so much older, his thoughts revolve around a diff reason altogether. He has so much before he trusts and loses himself to her completely. It is more about his mindset, beliefs than his love. Arey pyaar toh banda already karta hai. Harkat nahin dekh rahe ho apne. While she is more young, free - her first tussle with love, and it seems so beautiful and it’s every strong and bold.
But when she rejects him in this manner, he is much hurt. Just like she is. Isse behter pyaar hi karti.😆 The age and the notion that he is not even in her radar has just crushed the man. And now he thinks she believes him to be like her tauji, might as well as behave like the same. But does he know he throws tantrums like a child ?
When you are in love, you tend to be the youngest, boldest, free -est version of yourself. Do you see the diff between the earlier you and the current you mukhi ji ? The earlier you was the adult man - indifferent, focused on work etc.
The present you ? He is young and in love. And he will retaliate, throw tantrums, reminisce memories and so on.
Age might not protect you from love, it love will to some extent protect you from age.
So yes, strive on lovebirds - it will be a fun little short trip. So realistic, so worth it.
And last but not the least such beautiful picturesque scenes man. While she eats the gola, the gola matches the colour of mukhi’s shirt. It is such a picture perfect moment. The smile. The splashing of water. The bgm just adds char Chand to it man. What a piece of music. It just accommodates itself to the emotion of the scene. Whether it be melancholic, sad, longing, sad, happy, romantic or anything.
And the way they look at each other’s. As if their worlds revolve around the other person. And imho, there is something so pure about their relation. It’s like she gets the care of a father from mukhi ji as well and there is nothing in wrong With that if you know what I mean.
But then there is that stare. That magnetic state that enraptures their attention and you know that care just stems from the basis of the age gap.
Well all in mere pyaare mukhi ji aur unke baawri , I just want to say one thing and that is :
I know there is a difference in our ages, but who cares . My heart doesn’t know how old your heart is .
