Hey .... I am somewhat a silent cum slightly new member of the forum 😅
But today’s episode 🔥🔥🔥🔥 .... I couldn’t resist myself from asking a post.
I am not a big fan of remake titles usually .... it’s because they usually seem to have not much of a meaning to it .... just kuch bhi daal do ... jinko dekhna woh toh dekhenge hi....🤷🏽♀️
But for a change .... what an apt title for the show ..... and the perfect episode to point it out.
“Lost in somebody’s love” ..... truer words couldn’t have been said. Whether it is to be said for Virat, or Pakhi ..... or to some extent even Sai - the statement rings true for every member of the trio.
Despite all the obvious antagonists and the lack of sense or logic in any of the members ... the obvious only-seen-in-tv-soaps-kind-of villainous behaviour of an entire family ... Pakhi has been the only antagonist ... whom I had felt even a tad bit of sorry for.
Because all the elders they have no justification whatsoever for their misbehaviours. Even Sonali - that woman is somebody I have no respect for .... because what is a person who cannot stand up for their own kid. In this world, so competitive, so cruel ; wherein no one trust one another .... and everybody is out looking out for only themselves and slash off anybody else off the board ..... a child’s main support system is his parents. Now it’s a diff thing to scold, guide or even a physical scolding like a slap : and it’s another thing to continuously demotivate, emotionally abuse a child. So if they cannot look out for their child .... what is the purpose of even remaining in the good books of the family’s head ? For what purpose ? Jaaydaat kisko denge? Izzat kisko denge ? Kutte ko?
Coming back to today’s episode. What an episode. And despite all the interviews, all the bts that got us to peaks of frustration .... the same CVs, have done a wonderful job . What a script. And what a fabulous cast whether it is Sai or Virat ... today Ayesha and Neil nailed it.
Often times even is not up to Sai or Virat’s mark ... I feel even Patralekha does a half decent job of maintaining a mask of a person. She is no longer her true old self. She no longer understands the situation. She no longer knows what to do. So I would hopefully assume, it is the same confusion that she shows us. The same pointlessness of actions.
Virat as a person is very .... a placating type of individual. We often appreciate that in a man. Jo zyada gussa na Kare, no sabkho happy air calm Rakhee, jo ghar aur beewi ko done khush rakhe etc etc. It is in these situations that we begin to see the negative to that nature. Virat’s first instinct is to diffuse the situation. Which is often good, but sometimes frustrating for the audience as well as the other person. Somebody is screaming at you, shouting at you, facts pe facts, accusations, doubts, worries etc .... and his maximum reaction is a loud noise of disapproval - “Ayyy!”
No counter arguments, no counter facts, no answers, no dispelling off the fears. Bas .... “kya bol rahi ho tum” .....”Sai!”. For such a straightforward, no nonsense of a person, that Sai is, this is heights of frustration.
Every person wishes for the other person to be calm in a fight. And in a way it’s true. Fight zyaada der tak nahin rahegi. But that is applicable to usual fights. Chote mote .... bina wajah ki fights .... which start from khaane mein namak nahin hai to tumhare ghar wale pagan hain.
Not in an actual confrontation. Where the fight arises out of frustration and seeking for closure. You expect the person to be just like you. Confrontational, blasting out answers and calming you down in an instant.
Just like Virat expects everyone to behave in a “matured”😂😂 manner in fights. Calm and not reactive, behaving placidly. Even yesterday’s fight ... he was was like can we stop this ... and get going. His immediate get go is like how we behave with a children. Shant shant karwaana.
I just absolutely loved today’s fight. What a script. Ek pe ek placating answers, or she is like achha toh yeh lo uska bhi ke sawaal. Honestly I feel like Virat’s non confrontational behaviour has got all of them into a mess. And that runs in genetics I guess. Kyunki samrat as well. Baat suna nahin ke ghar ko chod diya.😬
Whether it’s clarifying with Pakhi or sai, the man has absolutely no Akal on workings of a mind.
Of course trust is very important, but not at such a fragile stage of a relationship. Especially when the dynamics where diff then and now.
And Pakhi, .... Pakhi. The less I say about this character, the better. I don’t know what to feel for her. Is she wrong ? Absolutely. Is she right ? ....Ummm somewhat.
I feel like Indian soaps don’t know how to properly handle a grey shade character. I mean she could have been a wonderful grey shade character ; with such potential to resonate with a normal person but. Alas. I don’t know what writers think - ki hum Sai ko utna pasand nahin kar paayenge ya phir thode log pakhi aur Virat ko bhi ship karenge... Lord knows.
Such a pitiful character. The character she was, and what a shell of a person she remains as of now.
They are all truly lost in somebody’s love. I loved the play of words here. It is not uski pyar mein ... it’s kisikey pyar mein. Which is absolutely true. These people are all lagging behind, unable to move on, stuck in the bindings of love, for a person who is someone. A random stranger. Koi bhi. And they are so lost that they are unable to find their ways back. And what do you do when you are stuck ? Try, test all ways, even create ways to try and reach the shore. And they all are doing so in their own ways. Even Pakhi for that matter.
Pakhi is looking for time to spend with Virat ... alone ... confront him on matters, speak ..progress .... and whitewashing it under the pretext of as a friend sharing their day to day activities and gile shikwe with their friends. She believes Virat doesn’t even acknowledge her man hi man mein. Always wishing for Sai to be there. Hence the reason why she is so jumpy when asked what’s wrong in that. She is like .... have you reached a state where in your mind I have stooped so low, that you can’t be alone with me. Is it like a guarantee ? And she can’t help the pointless, cheap workings of her mind.
So I really hope for the best with all the three members. Because Sai resonates one half the world, while Pakhi does definitely represent a moderate amount of people in this society. A half decent person, with not so strong morals, but not originally a bad person. We would like imagine all of us are like Sai, but only true situations can determine whether we will end up becoming a Pakhi.
If only Pakhi had a bit of self esteem when it comes to Virat, some ego. And if only Virat had some common sense.
But truly loved today’s episode. Kyunki kitne hi serials mein the lead pair talk to one another. Warna usually it’s like started on a misunderstanding .... self sacrificial people here and there, misunderstanding cleared after 2 seasons, able episode mein bachhe. 🤓
