In today's episode, there was a mention of the girls' working part time in order to compensate for the incurring financial losses the family is presently undergoing.

I would like to hear from your side what is your perspective on women entering the work force in present era. We've gone through so many changes yet there are still conflicts that are still questioned such as gender inequality from a financial/economical perspective, social perspective, health perspective, etc.

Today, we saw how Garima merely suggested the offer of allowing the girls to work part-time, let alone the kind of job, the locality of the job, the pay rate, the benefits included, etc. We know DP will retaliate the situation in tomorrow's episode aside from the Jagat robbery drama and Susheela has said it how when it comes to DP's respect, they will not listen to DP himself because, at the end, justice and logic matters more than principles.

What is your take on that scene particularly? How could you correspond it to working women in the present era?

It's a plain male ego he is throwing at her daughter's . Does your daughter money will make you shame ? How ? He put the house on mortgage and now he is scolding the twin .. haath batane mei koi sharam nahi hai .

And from this is how the Dp ka male ego tootega ... Garima who used quiet in front of Dp she is questioning his behavior . Ghar sab se banta hai naki keval mardo ...

Today's era is changed families supports women to go work and contribute in family .

Today's era is changed families supports women to go work and contribute in family .

it is his ego that is unfortunately obstructing his mind from accepting the reality and the present status of his family... his resolute habit is speaking the words as he's used to working in heavily male-domineering place & now because he unemployed so he gets vexed even to a greater extent ...hence taladh dimag maano shaitaan ka dimag...

tbh, there is still some level of gender discrimination in some fields even today wherein men (especially those who were probably raised in male-preferred families in some & havent changed their perception) get irked from having women & listening to their commands when in reality, it is not the case...idk but there have been cases where women tried their best but level of change differs depending on the case...but we are progressing & there will be a day where gender discrimination would cease to exist

See, this whole entire narrative of "Hum apne beti ki tankha se khaana nahi khaa sakte" is great when you have some financial security and are able to support the house independantly. In times of need, DP or anyone else has to be realistic enough to first exhaust all ideas and then put the house on stake too. They are not able to pay their EMIs well since two months, taking out a loan on the house as mortgage might help to pay off the 1.5 lakh + the EMIs, but if they are not able to pay that interest back, the entire family gets packing and ends up in a more humble home. The girls earning an income should NOT be treated as a liability on the izzat, but their responsibility to the house.

Also, theek hai, if he feels they should not go out and earn, there are ways to earn from inside the house too. They can start taking small catering contracts, sewing clothes for others, offer food and nutritional advice to college students, style their hair for college parties and get some temporary income. For the first few months, they are not liable to even set up a legal entity to conduct this, they can do it on an individual level and then grow. Everything can happen in front of DP's eyes and maybe he will take the patti off 🤔

As for my own views, I feel like women can be financially empowered anywhere, even within the four walls of the house in these ways if their counterparts have the fear of Log Kya Kahenge. It is high time we stop thinking as daughters as a bhoj whose daan will get you a staircase to heaven, and allow her to take hold of her duties and make that staircase to freedom and success! We are entering the workforce, determined to put in our efforts and make our own mark and it always helps if the family supports you on this, because there is less faith in the discrimination of the system otherwise. Like you pointed out to Ayu, it is a harsh reality that even in the workplace, women still get less privileges, respect and credibility. But unless we make a start towards participating at work, being more vocal as a group about these issues, even the regulation changes made so far for our benefit will be of no use.

For this change to occur, yep just talks won;t compensate for the damage --- genuine confidence in the mission is required at last & support from those who care will automatically develop. Both genders should respect one another. Paternity leave has come into prominence in more recent years as well. Agar khud mein confidence h toh mazaal joh rokh sake. Even in homes, a neutral environment is pertinent wherein both genders learn to cooperate in running the household.

True. I'm just emphasising how a few leaders have already started the change and have gotten us regulations and we dont have any awareness of it or are not able to utilise it. Also, yes, in some cases just having self-confidence is enough to get ahead, but in majority of households with men like DP as fathers/brothers/sons, it is tough to just survive off it. I think our gen is a lil more sorted on trying to promote a more gender neutral household coz now we have a basic understanding that we are not restricted to a binary, and we need to move forward with that too.

Oh yes! It is traditional norm that men come home work & women serve the food on the plate. Definitely, it depends a lot on the progress with each passing generation & how they evolve to present situations.
