Nezu.. That line about making sense to yourself, that applies to me too but in the opposite manner. I think we can agree that in terms of writing, this story is way ahead than it's peers. This is not ITV ka generic writing, so I have a lot of expectations from this show. And I get baffled when I don't see those expectations being met.
Having said that, my expectations may not be the most realistic thing because what I'm expecting here is a character driven love story of two people. To me, Vir and Purvi ko chodd ke jo bhi show mein hain are there so they can bring these two together or try to break them apart. So the promise to the kids is no doubt important but that promise doesn't give us a peak into Purvi's feelings for Vir and therefore, in my point of view, secondary. Yes, it shows the two of them as terrific parents but I still don't know if Purvi has any idea how much losing Vir would wreck her. And if the show's fundamental question is 'Kya Pyar ki Dehleez kar payega par?' toh focus should be on Purvi and Vir's changing emotions for each other and every track must be directed towards developing that. Uss mein if these writers don't linger on these emotional moments, toh phir toh it'll be like watching news. One information after the other.
But then again, I'm making a snap judgement here. Maybe Tuesday ka episode will give us an emotional scene.
