I feel smoking, drinking and sex are also empowerment for women in a way...BUT empowerment is not limited to just them (as shown in Bollywood).
Empowerment means to be able to take control over one's life...n thus, its definition would vary from person to person.
Gave my gyaan too.

So I've just checked some pages & serious discussion was going on. Thought to spread some gyaan. Being feminist & acting like feminist is quite different thing. In fact 2nd one is quite dangerous. Some actors made that word a fancy word, throwing here & there so casually but actually don't have an punch idea. Feminism is not limited to alcohol, cigarettes or sex. But problem is 'some celebrity' promoted the feminism like that. They didn't even know what is true empowerment. If I wear 'bikini' it won't make me feminist, a particular salwar claded girl also can be example of empowerment. Having casual sex, alcohol or cigarettes doesn't make anyone 'empowered'. This concept needs to be eliminated. Same way drinking or casual flings doesn't make one 'lose character'. My thought or action made me empowered not my clothes.

I've clearly used the word 'limited'. I don't judge a person based on his or her drinking habit . But I've serious problem when people think that empowerment is 'just' limited to have daru & sex. For me, anyone can have multiple flings their choice but this doesn't make them karta dharta of empowerment. If we go with social standard a girl having casual sex or drinking is strongly prohibited. So for a girl from that kind of background having a normal drink is big deal, for her it's a step towards freedom but I won't call her the 'most empowered' girl or woman. I'm just saying we need to break that concept.

Baki its my doctor instinct I always give gyaan on excessive drinking & cigarettes. & it's not just limited to men.π
Antara accused us to give gyaan. We're such a badnaam gang.π

I agree with you!
I think the whole debate of empowerment has begun bcoz earlier people didnt frown much when these were done by men. All hell broke loose when women started emulating them.
Okay I went back and watched as I didn't remember why I have that viewpoint in my mind obviously you tend to forgetπ
So I have seen one clip so that I can tell why I made this viewpoint....look there was this question which said that how many people date their friend's ex so we all know it could be morally wrong if we see with one perspective but it happens and it should not be wrong and while boys outrightly rejected it ofcourse they carry some codes in their friendships as they said and we commonly listen...so filhal leave them abmnd cane to the point so I don't like the way nia said that person could get drunk take someone home I just don't find it right way to explain your viewpoint I feel that she just ghum fir ke comes on that particular thing (ofcourse what she want to say is right but not the way)and it happens in most of her answers she can simply say that people can get attracted irrespective of being friend's ex even 2 friends whether boys or girls can fall in love with same person at same time and it happens its common so yeah I don't like her bringing that particular stuff in most of her answers becoz I feel world exist beyond that while tejaswini try to explain it in more emotional way as she said you can't judge love...
So yeah thats why I said we have different opinions you felt it not filtering I felt it her flawed concept of boldness....
I don't know which episode u are talking about so i cannot comment actually..maybe if i see it i ll know more..which episode was this??
But as i said both teju are nia are very different...i feel nia has been through a lot of shaming in her career that has made her quote bold and to have a negative perspective.thats why she comes across as rude to people. She has a "i dont care a damn"attitude
But yeah i need to check the episode u are referring to to know more

Actually I also don't know episode right now becoz I randomly played a clip to take an exampleπ
But yeah I have nothing against her dressing sense, her preferences and her attitude but I don't know I find that she in a way type casted it as boldness and empowerment and I don't feel it right...and I can be wrong becoz as person I just see her on screen playing a character or in interviews and from that she projects this kind of image in my mind and as I already said I could be wrong as I don't know her personally so yes maybe she don't think like this at all as I am thinking about her.

I have to agree!
Initially I found Tejaswi's points confusing...but now she has become more articulate. She is very diplomatic in her approach.
Nia seems to be very anti-men, and I feel part of it comes from her experience.
In one video, she expressed anger about her current boyfriend who she is dating for 3 years...but guy does not want to give commitment even when he is 30+. He wants to maintain his single status in public. I find some of her antics weird (judging by her videos) but in this point I agree with her.

Problem with her is she is maha superficial. It's hard to believe her. She claims to be bold, feminist confident woman. But her most of male best friends are pervert & the confident woman suggest her fans starvation.
Cant comment about her superficial trait...I find her to be OK on that front.
More than her male friends, I find her female friends to be slightly off.
