The case with Amrit is still slightly different coz both her parents do love her. Uday was dealing with a single parent - a father Brij, who is handicapped and cannot support him, seemingly hates him to the point of constantly cursing him, but he has to constantly support and love him nevertheless. It is stuck in his head that he HAS to adhere to norms and stay in his good books. Yes, that is what makes him internalize and avoid any feelings for Vashma, coz he knows there will be a conflict if he ever even is found in the same room as her alone. Vashma will indeed be the braveheart in this jodi, because she will give him the strength to finally be his own person.
Yes he is constantly trying to get that love from his father and in that he has his real uday and his love for vashma somehwere in his heart ..so it will be difficult task for vashma too to search that uday and bring him out and make him understand that it's okay to be real self and love someone...waise we can see the real uday jhalaks while he is playing hockey or when he is with amrit and vashma as he doesn't need their approval or he doesn't need to prove something else to them ..
