Finally we get a non screaming, normal episode.

So many things that went well.

I'm glad Sairat did pooja together. Sai is SO pure hearted. She didnt pray for only herself, aai, devi, virat. She prayed for the whole family!

It was a good realistic sceme to see her sprawled on the bed with all the books and notes. Thats exactly what life as a med student was like. Made me nostalgic. But first year mein theres only 3 subjects in mbbs. One of them is Anatomy so in addition to books i remember I'd have bones on my bed too because we had to study osteology!šŸ™ˆSai has even 2nd year subjects- micro and path on her bed and also her premed textbook of AIIMS on the bed. Maybe shes trying to finish 2 years worth syllabus in 1 year to get out of this madhouse soon. LolšŸ˜‚

Loved the little touches of how Virat sees her holding the pen he gifted her.

Today he asked the right questions. He knows if Sai didn't do it for him, she'd have immediately refuted it. And acp is still sour about aniket. LolšŸ˜‚

And i loved the little quips- mujhe sona hai- toh mein kya lori sunaungi. And virats "tumne ye joh bookstall lagay hai". Their quips have an easy free flowing vibe.

And i loved Sai's sentence saying- ghar ke naukton waale kaam. It probably hurt virat but its true. Sai does not have a problem doing the work, its the attitude thats the issue. If she got even basic izzat, forget about the bahu acceptance she would do everything willingly and happily. But now its an obligation because doing the chores its the least she can do for this place that has given her a roof over her head. She feels like a tenant who doesn't pay rent and is trying to compensate by doing the chores. Its different if she were to do things out of love/haq that we do for family/friends. She separates virat/aai/devi/shivani from thd rest of the family. She will do things for them willingly though like she did with Alta.

Finally Virat Sir activated his ACP mode and could make out rashes on her skin even at 4-5 feet distance! And finally he reslised why she must have refused to wear alta.

Todays Virat-Ashwini scene was much better. Ashwini telling virat how the family only looks at Sai through the glasses/lens of criticism and hate but if you look at it in a different way, everyone can aee Sai's goodness just like Ashwini does. She very sptly said ki instead of raub jamana, if people talked to her with love and told her the right reasons, she will do anything. Applying alta despite allergy just because she got worried thinking that it would lead to apshagun for virat being a case in point. And i loved how Ashwini pointed out hos hardworking Sai is. Its not easy for an 18 yo college going girl , that too in mbbs to manage studies with all this stuff. Mein toh hostel mein rahti thi where we had mess where we'd get meals, and a small box like room- we had nothing to worry about except studies and enjoying college life. Yahan toh she gets no time to hang out with friends, she will probably never go out because she cant afford it. She does not have any income and she will definitely not ask Virat for money to go out with friends. She is already being mocked for being shaadi shuda in college and she has so much pressure to do well. One from being a topper (that automatically puts expectations- again i speak from both my own and others experiences )and the other because this whole shaadi/virat/etc is all for the purpose of her fulfilling her goal to be a doctor.

I hope they give us more scenes of her in college and how she tries to find a balance and not get bogged down by all this pressure.

I have no comments about the virat-pp scene. I think its audacious of her to ask him "aur tum mujhse pyaar karte ho".

I wonder how Virat will respond. I hope its a direct response and not some jalebi response that makes pp feel like he is not able to show his love even though he still has feelings for her etc. Aur saying something like "haan pyaar hai- but as a dost/friend" etc! All that jalebi should hopefully not happen but I'll keep expectations low.

Precap is interesting- on the one hand I'm glad hes finally associating the word pyaar with Sai but he really cant expect Sai to love him- he is the one who has put all these T&C about samjhauta/prior commitment/no ummeed etc. I really hope Sai gives him a straight answer that loving him is not an option because he was the one who made all these T&C when they got married. Even if they had married in the same stressful circumstances without those T&C that Virat made forcing Sai to also say "asp bhi mujhse ummeed mat rakhiye", she would have probably let her guards down sooner and more easily. But now her walls are too high!

Anyway i'm just glad there was no additional CM gang tamasha today.

PS: Also on side note, where is Shivani. Mansi character was useless so i don't miss her but i loved watching Shivani. I wish Sai had included shivani and devi in people she loves!

Don’t watch SBS. Just watch the episode and enjoy. That’s what I did. I watch the episode and then come

On forums to see everyone’s opinion.

i think even the actors don’t take BTS interviews seriously. They are already tired from working so they just don’t care what they say. or maybe according to Aishwarya’s perspective about PP , she feels it was insolent of Sai to do the Pooja instead of her. just my assumption.

I really liked today’s episode

I ā¤ļø how you summed it all up .. I am glad I get to read about the coming episode beforehand. I had decided not to watch this program again. After a cool off I thought might as well who cares.. Don't like surprises though so reading your perspective on the episode kinda prepared me mentally whether to view the episode or not 😬 I don’t think my heart can handle the drama on and off the program. Not sure if I will ever feel the vibe between Sairat as watching those clips on youtube of today’s episode, feels like something is off (some ingredient is missing in that family recipe ) ..I know that actors are trained professionals and are able to handle transforming themselves into different characters. At the end of the day they are all human and with emotions. So it must be awkward Neil standing between the two women. If he acts really well then Pakhi might not like it as they are a couple for real ..likewise, if he doesn’t give it all, then it is a letdown for his colleague .. Poor him.. he basically has to please everyone on and off stage šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø ... I really hope it doesn't get too awkward that he has to quit the show ... but in the meantime will keep watching it and hope for the best for all of them. Thank you again! šŸ™

Awesome take on the episode by you, dear. šŸ‘

Btw, Thanks for the information on MBBS studies. šŸ¤— Despite having two cousins of mine as Doctors, I didn't know MBBS involves lot of studying. It was my notion that practical teaching ie watching senior doctors treat patients is enough for MBBS.

1st year is non clinical including dissection in anayomy, lab work in biochemistry and physiology. Theres lot of interesting subjects within these 3 main subjects. but 2nd year onwards clinical training also starts

In 2nd year also there are non clinical subjects but the mbbs students start seeing patients too.

Then 3rd and 4th year is fully clinical along with lectures

And after final year theres internship/house-surgeoncy where you get full hands-on experience of being a doctor.

And eventually experience teaches you a lot.

After mbbs you pick a field to specialize in or you become just a family practioner. Aaj kal no one stops with only mbbs. So after 5 years theres more exams and more studying in PG where life gets even more hectic coz now you are not only a certified doctor but also in- training. And after specializing theres subsoecializing!

Its lifelong learning but definitely one of the most fulfilling careers. Its an art and a science. Thats the beauty. And you can choose so many things to do even if you dont want to directly see patients.

But people unfortunately either glamoroize it too much - saying doctor bhagwaan hai aur demonize it saying doctors are moneyminded. Theres a false notion that doctors make a lot of money. The only ones that make money are either the truly unscrupulous ones or the ones that work 16-18 hours a day! Everyone has the expectation that doctors should be "noble" , want "free treatment" but no one cares about the plight of the doctors themselves. In so many hospitals the working hours of a junior doctor are inhumane. 24-36 hour shifts. Its insane. The workload and load of keeping uptodate in an ever dynamic field is huge and most doctors are cognizant of their social responsibilities in addition to their professional and personal responsibilities. Once they choose this career they make a commitment to the healing ministry. But at the end of the day its also a profession. People forget that sometimes.

Anyway thats the end of my long rant.

I think police/teachers- school and college are 2 very sinilar professions that are not given their due in terms of adequate salary and respect.

I look forward to seeing a show someday on itv that will truly depict the challenges of a working professional in one of these fields without mirch-masala and ott drama.
