Wondering if its a director thing here too. Even in season 3, I felt like Surbhi Jyoti had the capability and could have done so much better in some scenes but fell short. Same with most of the other actors apart from Anita, she did excellent. I am of the opinion that a director also a huge impact on acting. An excellent director can manage to elevate even mediocre acting and bring a dull written scene to life visually. Ranjan is great, no doubt, but perhaps he could up in that department. This might be a different opinion but I am really not much aware of his body of work to be sure if this is really it.

@Red Word on everything. They obviously do not have the time anymore to dwell on the differences of these characters in Satyug vs Kalyug. But I do think they all all a changed. I had assumed Hriday was always negative, now we'll never know. Naageshwari toh had minor changes. Aakesh was the interesting development. He was just obsessed. Period. We couldnt draw his parallels with love until Veer came alone. Until I saw VaNi in one frame, I was of the opinion that it was going to be a milan of the Naag-Naagin again aka Bani-Jay 🤢. Veer's character was a more... sophisticated, sharpened version of Aakesh. Now, we don't know how Aakesh would have turned out going forward since Veer frew from earlier too. But even having just Veer gave so much depth tk Aakesh's character too.

AsYa were an OTP! Both Surbhis are my favs too! I watched down to the second generation of QH and loved Sanam-Aahil tooo. In fact, I joined instagram for Jyoti. EEEKS. I am excited for QH2 too! Looks interesting and looks like they have kept the runaway bride concept intact.

That's why Huma, Nikki and I go on about those old K shows which lbr weren't Pulitzer-winning writing 😆 but what we remember is Sujal-Kashish or PRB or Jai-Bani, or Oliver-Felicity or Vani etc.

I can bear a illogical storyline of the onscreen pair my favorite. But i don't connect with Onscreen couple i will not watch that itv show chahey wo show kitna hi logical kyun na ho.

Def think a director helps bring out the best in actors. I like Ranjan as a person but tbh I don't think he's that brilliant a director. There have been times in N5 when I felt SC/Bani could go further, but hasn't...tbh bc I KNOW SC *can* emote in that way, I've always felt that was a deliberate writing/directing decision not to have her emote in those ways. Apart from those early days of blahness, I don't feel it has been down to SC that Bani has sometimes felt robotic...more it's on the writing/directing side of things. IMO anyway.

Ah, got it re: Hina. So yeah no wonder people were pissed.

I liked qubool hai for two seasons and what I meant was after the reincarnation which is season 3..season 4 and the list goes on ..not sure..

Same here dude, here they have good story (if they could have written in proper way) and the suspense elements and the amazing cast, its pity that they could not utilize them...
