Susheela..what a speech smiley32smiley32 and then later sutai kar hi do meri smiley36

Sacchi like Chanchal Chachi said, saas ke lakshan abhi se dikh rahe hai smiley36

And along with Pramod, we also wanted to give you a standing ovation for the quick thinking today..tum bhi kuch kum nai..behen ka asar dikh raha hai smiley17

"Mil gaya mangalsutra Papaji ki pocket mein,

Khamaka bitha diya tha Susheela ko rocket pein.."

smiley37smiley37smiley37

Genuinely felt a lil bit for DP today when he was being twirled around in the chair by Susheela, Ashok Sir ko sadar pranam for that. Also, their mom is such a sweetheart smiley27

lol i liked sushila today definitely...also puttu too ...he quickly handed over it to garima to get over this fiasco asap...

also, i definitely admire the fact that they bought out the thing about "puranas saying this or that" by dp...it makes viewers think that, technically its all spoonfed to him or he's basically going by a txtbk that was written ages ago...im not saying that we should detest the puranas but there has to be a harmonious equation in the era we live in and the thoughts we develop....ill be outright honest, i dont know what the puranas actually said hence i have no right to judge it bc ppl can give it 50 million definitions and one can get lost amidst in trying to find the actual definition...so i cant comment on something i dont have knowledge on and im pretty sure everyone will agree to this...

True with all due respect, the issue is the interpretation of the ved puranas and not how they were intended or written, because the Satyug was a time when we had Romasa the wife of Svanya, Anasuya the wife of Atri, Maitreyi the wife of Yajnavalkya, Arundhati the wife of Vasistha, Vasukra patni, Ghosha take an active interest in learning and also attaining salvation with their rishi husbands. It is said that Gargi attained perfect realization in the stage of brahmacharya, Chudala in the grihastha ashrama, Maitreyi in the stage of vanaprastha, and Sulabha yogini as a sannyasini. This Sulabha bhikshuni ("sacred mendicant") was famous for her vast and deep knowledge of the Mahabharata. Women cared more about their traditional role in the household life but they were also saksham (skilled/equipped) in the religious aspects too.

My grandmother (Nani) is very dharmic hence she used to keep talking about it when me and my siblings were younger, and we actually realized how a lot of these holy books actually promote very progressive thoughts, but since we lived in a male-dominated society, they interpreted it with only that lens and it continued for generations till women started to go to school and ask for an equal world, re-read these classics and realized that they have a legacy too.

Thanks for sharing this information. It is nice to hear this. I remember a scene from one of Akshay Kumar's movie, I think where his character was criticizing on the limited knowledge on how the feces/urine could harm the environment, according to one of the holy books. I can't remember the movie's name but for some reason, I got reminded of this scene.

Susheela was definitely the highlight for me. bandi ne kya band bajai hai yaar DP ki. sitti pithi gul hogayi uski. and then the broom stick XD.

i think we also got to see her vocalize her frustrations to her father and the man couldn't do anything then tell her to shut up to save himself from embarrassment. its a pity honestly. she wasn't just saying it for the sake of saving herself but rather question the adult who raised her with the belief that she an asset rather than a human who he loves unconditionally.

that is another thing I've come to realise. Kusum Ji loves her children unconditionally. no matter what she sees the good in them and is willing to do anything to help them in her own way (might not be the best mom but still). DP doesn't actually love them. his daughters are just his responsibility that he has to fulfil. if they speak against him they are bad and need to be gotten rid of through marriage. if they do something in his favour such as handling Jagat, they are the best daughter anyone can have.

all in all, fantastic episode that was well balanced.
