Chhapaak's 4 crore opening is decent. Not horrible or great, just about okay.

But who are we kidding if we don't think genre doesn't matter? A Veere di wedding with the same cast but different/serious subject wouldn't have opened the way it did.

Heroines do not have box office pull. But this can change if established heroines make films with newbie heroes (like Anushka did with Ranveer or Vidya with that Tumhari Sulu actor). Too bad most heroines are just running after big heroes and want to do films with them. So obviously heroines will be outshined and never get any credit for the film.

Fanaa was a All time opener and a BB but probably would've made the same amount of money with Aamir and any actress.
