Yeah with trilogies too, unless I'm really interested in reading one for whatever reason, I wait until all the books are out. If for no other reason bc it takes ages for the next in the series to be published, by which time I've likely forgotten the story/lost interest anyway 🤣

Ah..trilogies!! I have lost count on how many series i have just left on between because by the time the next book is out, i have moved on to something else or in some cases to a whole different genre as well🤣

I have tried this method of bookmarking a page where a novel/trilogy i wanna read is mentioned so that once it's completed i can read it in one go but when i come back to that trilogy (after its completion) to read it and read the prologue (i seem to have forgotten what it's called😂), I am not able to delve into it.🥺 I kinda just don't get at that point of time ki mujhe isme interest aaya kyu tha..fir main vo puri ki puri series hi nhi padti.

It has happened thrice with me now😂, so better option i feel for me is to read half the series atleast and then leave it and move on🤪

That's the point isn't it.. that's why IB is speacial. Every single character had a role, an arc that they were supposed to go through and a single maha villain our darling swetlana.after the whole tia track, They should have worked towards the personal arcs of the character's in the background while continuing the 3 love stories in forefront. That's one of reasons i just could not love the second leads of omru beacuse their original leads had that thing, there was reason/sense to the love story for the viewer, although they never really gave any time for development esp. in case of om and bela (I don't remember her character's og name😂) and then later on they went ahead and destroyed saumya. I still thank god that i had stopped watching the episodes religiously during that time and was only following shivika scenes through insta!!

The amount of amazing ffs I've read where pinky is this cutesy ott friendly saas to anika who kinda shares the gossip with her and they both complain to each other about billu and his tadi!!😛

I would have loved to see @bold - would have been such a refreshing take on the saas-bahu thing. There were times when I understood Pinky's jealousy at Shivaay's attention shifting to Anika, bc that felt in character for someone whose life revolved around her son. But the way she went about handling that jealousy really frustrated me and brought down her character. I did love though that she paid the price of that with Shivaay eventually withdrawing from her completely, and not really forgiving her properly until the vanvaas track. It felt like justice that he didn't let her off the hook so easily.

The Tia track was well managed (altho I really liked the whole vibe with Tia and the gang pre the reveal of her plan) but after that they had to work so hard to keep Svetlana relevant. I liked her as a villain but increasingly her reasons for her tricks become more and more bizarre (and don't even mention DBO ).

Bela was suuuuuuuuuuuper annoying tho...jeez. That OTT Gujju-ness and her sob story with her family. I liked the concept, that someone like Om who hates lies would end up with someone who thought that 'truth and honesty at all times' was a privilege only certain people could afford. Maybe like you say, if they'd developed that a bit more, it would have worked. I loved Sumo though, and her relationship with Rudy developed so nicely, until they ruined it with that random wedding, and then her disappearance.

This is like me with everything 😆 I make a list of shows/books/articles I want to read/watch or have an interest in, to come back to at a later date, and then when I do, I have absolutely no desire to get into it 😆 there are so many shows I've not watched bc of this reason. Agar uss pal mein dekhliye toh dekhliya, otherwise it gets away from me.

Yes, I could also see where Pinky's jealousy was coming from. She literally saw herself in Anika. Anika was her - except that Anika could make the kind of place in Shivaay's life that she could not seem to. Her feelings were made to show in a way where even though it was a typical saas-bahu trope, you could empathize with her. But then they had to throw it all away and low-key also made her misuse her love for Shivaay there too. Glad she paid the price too. Not just by Shivaay but also with the whole family giving her the cold shoulder. Shivaay grew a lot through that experience too. The FFs had such wonderful alternate arcs to Anika-Pinky though.

After ShiviKa, Rudra-Saumya were my favs. So safe to say, I was bitter and pissed when they sank the ship. Instead turned Sumo over to the dark side. The whole sisters out to revenge (with the thing they did with their hands 🤣) became too much. I hate it when the writers forego their own initial writing and gloss it over to make new connections. So glad I am not the only one who was mad.

I felt bad for the Om fans, him and his love story were just not that explored. When it did, they kinda turned him into a Shivaay 2.0 during DBO ... heck they even did it with Rudra at some point too. But the relationship all of them shared with Anika was adorable.
