I am so glad I am not on my own here 😆 it took a lot to admit that problem out loud 🤣 I hate sad endings in my head I am like I use fiction to escape reality why would read something sad 🤔
I'm the same, dude. Esp if I'm in the mood for a romantic or cheerful story, I have to read the end first to check it doesn't twist on me. I hate it when books/stories that are promoted as happy ones decide they want to go for the grimdark twist just to be "different".
If I want to read a book that ends in tears, I'll go find one, but I never ever do 🤣

Or those trilogies I am like nah B happy to wait for all of them to see what the ending is 😆 LOL stay away from Jodi Picoulut books if you don’t want tears. I totally spelt her surname incorrectly 😆

I will never read her books 🤔 or Nicholas Sparks...both total sob fests.
Yeah with trilogies too, unless I'm really interested in reading one for whatever reason, I wait until all the books are out. If for no other reason bc it takes ages for the next in the series to be published, by which time I've likely forgotten the story/lost interest anyway 🤣

I loved that Pinky scene too, and that's sort of what made me even madder when they ruined her. Pinky was basically the Anika of her generation in many ways - lower class family, poor English, not quite to "Oberoi standard". So when she acted above Anika as if she couldn't remember how she was made to feel as a young bahu, it made the whole situation so much worse. Literally kyunki saas bhi kabhi bahu thi type thing.
That's the point isn't it.. that's why IB is speacial. Every single character had a role, an arc that they were supposed to go through and a single maha villain our darling swetlana.after the whole tia track, They should have worked towards the personal arcs of the character's in the background while continuing the 3 love stories in forefront. But alas..sapne..
That's one of reasons i just could not love the second leads of omru beacuse their original leads had that thing, there was reason/sense to the love story for the viewer, although they never really gave any time for development esp. in case of om and bela (I don't remember her character's og name😂) and then later on they went ahead and destroyed saumya. I still thank god that i had stopped watching the episodes religiously during that time and was only following shivika scenes through insta!!
The amount of amazing ffs I've read where pinky is this cutesy ott friendly saas to anika who kinda shares the gossip with her and they both complain to each other about billu and his tadi!!😛

Oh my god NS should not pitch his books as romance ever 😡 it’s heartbreak central.
