Highly doubtful and if it's all rumors where did you get that fact? Hardly any name actor doesn't do some sort of profit sharing and a film this big it's usually sizeable or the upfront would be onerous. He made over 105 cr from War - what do you think his upfront salary would be for Fighter with no back end? Regardless he's not signing on to a film that can't 1) pay him 2) doesn't have the budget to make the film. Sid's his friend but he's not giving dates away to a pie in the sky production. It's not as if he isn't spoiled for choice and offers or it's his pattern to just jump onto signing a film.
