Bollywood shines in Miss India contest

The Pantaloon Femina Miss India award function was held on April 6 with much fanfare. And Bollywood more than added its share of glamour quotient. Kareena Kapoor performed at the event to the hit number Mauja mauja from Jab We Met, and looked beautiful in a black outfit.

Tabu, Zeenat Aman and Katrina Kaif were among the judges for the beauty contest. Madhavan and Dia Mirza played host.

Bipasha Basu turned in a smashing performance to Omkara's Beedi Jalaile.

Zeenat Aman was one of the first Miss India winners to become a popular actress. To celebrate Zeenat's Miss India and Miss Asia Pacific in 1970, Sameera Reddy danced to some of the older actress' hit numbers.

The show started with 28 finalists, hoping to win the coveted Miss India crown.

The title finally went to 20-year-old Parvathy Omanakuttan from Kerala. The runners up were Pantaloons Femina Miss Earth Harshita Saxena and Femina Miss India Universe Simran Kaur Mundi.
