And this member who always dissect English . She should understand everywhere english is spoken differently so it’s not right thing to judge.

specially in western countries they don’t care much about grammar and here I am taking about the people with mother tongue English (and I deal with them on daily basis as live here from last 12 years ) So shall we judge them also just because it is not according to our standard?

When one says gold medalist it automatically makes them the master of something. Its an achievement that differentiates you and puts you higher than others. If I add Im a gold medalist in my MBBS people automatically will think im good in it. Simple logic.

Here shes not only bad but horrible in normal spoken English. Her vocabulary and pronunciation is worst than a person not having a degree in English. Either she got khairat / paid ki degree or the school has questionable staff who might not be good themselves.

Either way she made a fool of herself and the school that gave her gold medal. This has nothing to do with mother tongue or grammar or career.

Also westerners don't claim to have gold medal so I dont judge them.

@Bold : I think I will rest my case here ,there is no point criticising any school or staff just to prove our views 😒

She might be Gold medalist, but problem is her growth just stopped at that point. She is still behaving like a student, when we used to win all debate by hook or crook. That time it was fine, darshak bhi hamare jaise hi hote then. But now she is 35 yrs old, she should behave to her age, considering her acting career is almost over.

Everyone is different, you will ace Sanskrit but I will fail it now. We have different strength we don’t remain the same.

Like English, I will need to redo my IELTS Test, for my higher studies and I received 8,5 out of 9 points but when I will do the test again, I won’t receive the same mark, it doesn’t mean my basic knowledge was wrong. My English writing and speaking skills have suffered a lot, I am watching English TV shows and I am writing here as well but even I know I am making so many mistakes here in my response 🙈

We all are different people, we make different mistakes

This isn't a test. No stress here to speak in a certain way or certain language. No one is pointing a gun and asking madam to speak in English. Its her free will. Hence your defence analogy, though logical doesn't hold up here.

If it isn’t a test than there is no harm in making mistakes while speaking in English is there? It’s her free will to speak in English as well and what’s the harm in saying she won a gold medal if that’s the truth.
She is humiliated for her English because once upon a time she was good and now she isn’t? Just because someone wins something they have to be careful for the rest of their lives, why to justify their win?

No harm in speaking in English but don't claim you are Gold medalist as you are no where near a normal English speaking person.

Language, specially English which you so commonly use in everyday speech is a skill you either know or not. (Please do not compare it to French / German/ Sanskrit that you forget because you can't converse in everyday life).

So if you are conversing it in incorrect manner, it basically shows your foundation is wrong. Or in other words you learnt it wrong. In both cases you cannot be called Gold Medalist.

If you are making big claims you have to justify it, that's how it works. Just because she's a celebrity she doesn't get a free pass to make false claims.

Why can’t she claim to be a gold medalist if that’s her truth? That’s the whole point if she got the medal she can say exactly that.

I speak German everyday 🤣 it’s easier than English for me.

Let’s agree to disagree on that matter.
