Chapter 3: FLASHBACK IS KILLING

Recap: Team is alive, Arjun breaks down, Samjun moment, Sikandar will not be spared, Samjun ka milan shree se.

Shree questions "Aur woh kya sir??"

Rathode takes a deep breath and breaks the silence "Shree hamari team zinda hai aur Sikandar ke kabze mein hain."

Shree is shocked beyond words which cannot even be described. The team whom he loved so much and who he thought are dead. They are alive but captivated by Sikandar. He is shook. And he just stares with tears filled in his eyes. Arjun and Rathode know how he is feeling and hence arjun keeps a hand on his back asking him to calm down. It's difficult but he has to.

Rathode continues "Shree maine ache se pata kiya hai aur tab jaake mujhe yeh pata chala hai."

Shree interrupts him "Sir aapko kuch batane ki zaroorat nahin hai. App pe mujhe pura bharosa hai (looking at Rathode) aur aap par bhi" (looking at Arjun)

Rathode and Arjun give a faint smile.

They have their dinner and sit for a while as they met after a long time. They just look at each other.

Shree breaks the silence this time "Sir Sikandar ko dhoondna aasan nahin hoga."

Rathode and Arjun sigh and reply in a serious tone "pata hai."

To which Shree smirks and says "Aur records sab dhundne ke liye mujhe shaanti ki bhi zaroorat hogi."

Arjun and Rathode without realising his intentions in same tone reply "Pata hai."

Then they realise that Shree had pointed towards them and by Shanti he meant they both won't fight

Both in stern voice "Shree!!!"

Shree gets a bit scared and to lighten the situation says "Sir jab tak team nahin mil jaati aap logon ke gusse ko mein, ek college going charsi student kaise sambhalega."

....And they all go in flashback....

The case where they busted the drugs racket and found Nadia urf Ayesha. For that they needed a college going student who was a drug addict. This was done so that they could enter the high profile party.

In the conference room:

Arjun, Sameer, Shree and Chotu were in the interrogation room, interrogating two suspects when one of them said "Sir agar wahan police officers jaayenge toh kuch haath nahin lagega."

To which Arjun replied "Toh hum bhi ek college going student ko hi bhejenge" saying so he looked at Shree.

Rathode too understood the plan as it was not their first time of sending Shree. Hence, he supported silently.

Shree gulped down his saliva and with in a very stammering tone asked "Sssirr maiinnn. No no no no sirr"

Arjun growled at him for this "Hum mein se aur kon college student lagata hai Shree?"

"Haan aur Charsi bhi." added Chotu with a mischievous smirk.

This statement made Chote recieve glares from both ACP's. Shree was still not convinced but as they say Boss is always Right.

Arjun not bothered about what Shree is feeling ordered "Aur ho jaane ke baad hame bata dena." And walked out of the room

Rathode understood what Shree is going through and tried encouraging him "All the best Shree!"

Shree in a very disappointed tone replied "Thank you sir!"..

Chotu tried calming Shree and with playful tone said "Shree tension mat le main tujhe aisa taiyaar karunga ke tu 100% charsi lagega aur college student toh tu lagta hi hai"

Rathode smiled at Shree's condition and then at Chotu's excitement and walked out of the room.

....Flashback ends....

Shree has a broad smile and Rathode and Arjun also smile remembering this.

Rathode smiles thanks Shree "Mood light karne ke liye thank you Shree."

Arjun also smiles agreeing with Rathode.

Rathode now bids goodbye to them "Toh chalte hai waise bhi kal HQ mein commissioner sir ke saath meeting hai. Toh kal jaldi pahunchna hoga."

Shree also leaves saying "Haan Sir. Mujhe bhi minister aur unke under kaam karne wale sabke call records dekhne hai."

Arjun says "Hmm.. tum dono jaao mein bhi chalta hoon."

Before leaving Rathode says "Rawate jo bhi tumne Sikandar aur department ke baare mein pata kiya hai woh lete aana. Hum kal kahin aur milenge aur tab baat karenge."

To which Arjun replies "Theek hai Rathode. Jab milenge tab meri mission findings discuss karenge."

Shree nods in positive.

All leave to go to their respective homes.

*At Shree's home*

He enters his room and opens a bag. From that bag he removes his lappy which he used when he was in ETF. Rathode would get him all the updates he needed after a lot of persuasion. After the team's "death" he never used that laptop as it would get all the memories along with it.

But today he brought it out and kept it on the table to check if it is working properly. If not, he has to repair it and also install new software. He then thought to himself "6 saal baad phir se Rathode sir se naye software ke liye permission mangni padegi."

Everytime he used to get a bit scared but this time he was happy as he had missed it a lot. Not to mention he was still scared.

He then notes down everything required. And even practices how he is going to convince Rathode.

On the other side

After meeting everyone at 2:00 am

Arjun in his room twirling his pen in his style and in deep thoughts.

"Iss sikandar ko iss baar pakadna padega. Jitni details mili hai woh sab Rathode aur Shree ke saath share karna hai aur baadmein mera plan batana hai. Details bhi nikalne padenge. Yeh humara acha chance hai sab begunaah logon ko aazad karne ka aur hamare team ko bhi. soch Arjun tu kya kar sakta hai. Inn sab mein jis kisi ka bhi haath hai wohi hamein Sikandar ke paas pahunchayenge."

P..O.V ends

He goes to the kitchen side to make a cutting chai for himself. He looks at the time it's 3:00 in the morning. A small smile creeps on his face as he remembers the time when Sakshi used to carry cutting chai with her wherever she went with him in order to keep him calm.

...Flashback...

They are in a taxi waiting for the kidnapper to come and collect the bag of money. It's 3 in the morning. Sakshi being Sakshi turns on the radio and it plays a beautiful romantic song. She looks at him lovingly. Arjun realizes that but he doesn't react. He gets irritated as usual but he cannot say anything as it can alert the kidnappers who are already very cautious.

Then he notices a shooting star and ignores it. But Sakshi had already noticed it and she jumps with excitement and exclaims pointing to the sky "Dekho Arjun toot-tha tara. Kehte hai agar toot-the taare ko dekh kar kuch mangoge toh woh mil jaata hai."

Arjun nods his head in disbelief and says "Aise kuch nahin milta. Agar kuch paana chahti ho toh Dil se maango aur dekho mil jaayega."

Sakshi with a cute smile asks "Acha Arjun toh tum inn sab mein maante ho? Toh phir kyun tum uss din aarti lene nahi aaye?"

Arjun in a low voice just says "Maine bhagwan se maangna aur kuch paane ki umeed karna kab ka chodh diya hai. Lekin shayad tumhari maan le."

Sakshi then insists "Nahin Arjun bhagwan sab ki iccha puri karte hai. Tum kuch maang kar toh dekho."

He wanted to ask something which is impossible. He would have asked for Roshni but she is dead and there is no chance he will get Roshni back. But there was something else which he thought would be impossible

Arjun says "Mujhe ek garma garam cutting chai ki zaroorat hai. Milega mujhe?" And gives her a winning smirk

Sakshi takes a flask and a glass from her bag and pours cutting chai from the flask into the glass and gives it to him with a cute smile. Not because she won but because she could fulfill Arjun's wish.

Sakshi signalling him to take the glass says "yeh rahi tumhari garma garam cutting chai. Lo!!"

He takes the glass and gives her a unbelievable look and sips the chai.

Then they see a man on the bike comming towards the dustbin to collect the bag and they run to nab him.

*Flashback ends*

*Next day morning at headquarters*

Rathode comes back to his cabin after a meeting frustrated with the topic of it. "Minister's security" He says:

"Damn it!! (In a low voice) Ab iss minister ki suraksha mein karun jise khud apne officers ki suraksha ki nahin padi. Aur yeh commissioner sir aisa kyun kar rahe hai?? Unhe bohot ache se pata hai ki mujhe kitni chid hai aise lalchi or gaddar ministers se. Phir bhi!" He shakes his head in disbelief.

Shree understands the situation and comes in with coffee "Sir, May I come in?"

Rathode calms himself and replies "Yes Shree come in."

Shree comes in and places coffee on the table. Rathode takes a sip from it. And then a small smile creeps on his lips. This doesn't go unnoticed by Shree and he says "Ayesha ki recipe hai sir. Aapko pasand hai na."

Rathode just replies with "Hmm.." and pretends to focus on work

Shree then asks him "Thik hai sir. Aaj??"

Rathode hands him over a chit which mentions a construction site at 11:00 pm.

*At night at the construction site*

Arjun is a bit irritated because the construction site is dusty and not an ideal place to discuss "Rathode yeh konsi jagah hai? Aur hum aisi jagah baat karenge.? Maine tumhe inform kiya tha na ki kuch information hai. Yahaan naahi white board hai, markers hai, projector bhi nahin. Mein kaise explain karun?"

Rathode understood his irritation and replies "Rawate tum pehle yeh jagah thik se dek toh lo."

He takes them to a closed room and switches on the light.

Both Arjun and Shree are shocked to see the arrangement.

Perfect lighting, A.C, and other necessary items. There was even a pantry there where they could make chai or coffee. There were no windows and this meant no one will ever know what work is going on.

Shree in shock asks "Sir aapne yeh sab kaise kiya or kab kiya?"

Arjun also who is shocked supports with Shree's questions "Haan Rathode. Aur iss jagah ke baare mein tumhe kaise pata chala??"

Rathode sees them and then replies "yeh building mere ek dost ne banayi thi 6 mahine lekin phir yahaan pe kisi worker be apni jaan le li toh sabko yeh haunted laga aur yahaan pe kaam ruk gaya. Jisne bhi ghar khareed tha pehle woh bhi aadha refund maangkar chale gaye. Toh mere dost ne yeh jagah aisi hi chod di. Chota sa loss tha toh isliye. Maine 2 mahine pehle uss se baat ki ek jagah ke liye jahaan hum mission ko head kar sake. Toh usne yeh jagah suggest ki. Maine yahaan pe kuch extra add kar liya aur dekho it's ready for us. Ab kaam kare?"

Shree then asks "Sir yeh building haunted hai?"

Arjun gives him a glare and Rathode just looks at him in disbelief

Shree then realizes he didn't frame question properly and rephrases "Nahin sir mera matlab hai jab chotu aajayega toh woh yahan kaam toh bilkul nahin karega."

Rathode smiles and replies "tab kuch aur intezaam hoga. Lekin ab un sab ko laana padega na."

Shree replies "Yes sir."

They enter the place and sit in their places. Rathode and Rawate opposite to each other and Shree on the side.

Rathode then asks "Rawate tumhe kya information mila hai? Aur hamein aage kya information dhoondna hai??

Sab batao hamein."

Arjun who wants to relax a bit says "Bata dunga Rathode lekin chai peene ke baad."

Rathode shakes his head in agreement.

Shree offers to prepare. Both of them say okay.

But before going Shree with a smirk asks "Arjun sir aap ke liye cutting chai aur Rathode sir aap ke liye Aayesha wala coffee. Sahi na?"

Rathode in a strict voice "Shree jaao!!"

Arjun smiles as he knows what Shree meant and he also doubts Rathode regarding his feelings towards Ayesha.

Shree: yes sir! Mein toh bas pooch raha tha.😇

Rathode still glare at him and this makes him run for his life.

They all sit down at the table and while drinking shree asks

Shree then slowly musters courage and asks Rathode "Sir woh coffee kaisi bani hai?"

Rathode knows that Shree wants to ask something and says "point pe aao shree!"

Shree gathering courage in one breath says "woh sir Sikandar ko dhundne ke liye humein kuch improved software ki zaroorat hai khaas kar lappy ko usse 6 saal baad baahar nikaala hai toh kya aap naye software ka intezaam kar sakte hai?

This makes Arjun smile and there is silence now. Shree is waiting for Rathode's answer

Rathode pauses and says "Give me the list."

Shree just stares at him dumbstruck

Rathode continues "Tumne yeh sab bolne ki taiyaari ki hai toh list bhi toh banaya hoga. Do mujhe. Kal mail kar deta hoon aur parson sab kuch mil jaayega."

For shree this was very surprising. He didn't expect Rathode to agree so soon. Rathode then shakes shree and he comes out of his statue mode

Shree happily "Haan sir (giving him the list) yeh sab chahiye sir. Kuch costly hai toh aap manage kar paayenge.?"

To which Rathode replies sarcastically "Manage karne wali konsi baat hai. Minister ke security ke liye chahiye na toh mil jaayega"

Arjun is shocked and so is Shree.

Arjun asks "Tu yeh sab aise karega? Department se gaddari?" 🧐

To which Rathode replies "As long as hum us minister ko security provide kar rahe hain kuch galat nahin hai."

Arjun nods in a yes and even shree. They finish their beverage and now

Rathode asks Arjun "Rawate ab tu bata tujhe kya pata chala hai?"
