Hey guys. I know a lot of us are not happy after seeing the precap and lot of you all have already stopped watching the show for various reasons. I just wanted to share my thoughts.
First of all I firmly believe that if you're looking for good content ITV is not the platform for that. We have OTT for that, cos it has series with finite episodes. A finite series always allows the makers to experiment without any pressure..its like how movies are. So good content with creativity.
But ITV is a different platform altogether. They make shows that have to run for months/ years. Its difficult to sustain the whole essence beyond 50-60 episodes. I don't watch ITV shows...SM is the only one I've started watching due to Rati.
I might be wrong, but I don't know about any ITV show that ran for years and hadn't lost the plot and its whole essence with which it had started in the first place. Plus the trp pressure that the makers are put through is very unfortunate IMO. Trps don't allow them to experiment or bring new content. They are forced to show drama, most of the times illogical drama in the long run. That's the only reason all shows start looking the same beyond 2-3 months time, cos they always show the tried and tested formula.
Even the contemporary shows that are going on ITV are no different than SM. They all start with social issues and good content, and then they all end with family drama.
But I still feel SM is a bit different, cos here the leads are atleast together in this whole drama unlike other shows where there's lack of trust and understanding..and then the whole vamp drama and separation due to misunderstandings. KeerTi are definitely different for me atleastš³
Sorry for the long post. Just thought of sharing my views. Enjoy the show and KeerTi while it lasts is all I wanna sayš hopefully Nandini drama will end soon and we'll get to see our fav tracks :)
Btw this is SM's director's interview. He's so frank about the content on TV and OTT. Can't blame them completely. His interview kind of asserts my post
