Is calling someone ‘Bua’ an insult?

I really did not understand why Rakhi created such a big issue about the word Bua....is it really an insult?

So many young girls become buas or maasis because they have elder siblings who have children. This relationship with the nephews and nieces is one of the most, precious family bond.

I was rooting for Rakhi...but the attention she recvd in the last 2 WKVs has gone to her head....all that over the top behaviour is being encouraged at the name of entertainment....she is playing the victim now.

In spite of repeatedly being abused by the original contenders and in spite of the challengers making her captain, she betrayed them.....
just feel that the last couple of days have been not good for her...any chance she has of winning will go away if she continues in the same way.

No it is not but it becomes when you say it in a certain way. Here they were calling Rakhi bua and all to mock her. Why would they suddenly call her like this when the entire day they fought with her ? Obviously to make fun of her and instigate her.

I thought they were age-shaming her. Ally is Naagin's bf who was clearly bullying Rakhi.

This actually sounds like the situation in which some women are labelled aunties not out of respect but for the purpose of being mocked and age shamed.

The word itself isn't insulting or mocking. Context, intention and the tone matters.

I understand your point about age shaming...but Rakhi has also been calling people all kinds of names.

This group turned against her bcoz they think she has betrayed them when thy made her a captain.

I was really rooting for Rakhi but I think this new alliance will cost her.

By the way why does Rakhi call sonali didi? Is Sonali older than her? It's honestly just an innocent question without any hidden agenda!

Any word doesn't hold any meaning without the intentions behind it.. 2 friends could use abusing word too for each other in teasing manner and both will laughed but bua is also bad word when the intentions behind it ... is so wrong and audience got it ... why they are calling her bua n Anuty ...
