I felt his outburst was more out of helplessness that he is failing to protect sai from his family and also sai failing to understand his inner emotions

I think the poor guy doesn't know what he is feeling for Sai. Even though it was a fight he emoted a strong connection with Sai. This particular fight wasn't due to chakrams or PP, but it was their own as a couple, but none of them realize it.

Inner emotions plus the situation.
I am enjoying Neil play Virat's role. He is doing a fine job here. But sometimes I feel the director fails to capture Virat's expressions. For example, in the car while going to the college, when Sai said that she will move out to the hostel, I did not feel Virat's agony/shock over it. I saw his shock when Sai said 20 or so episodes earlier in their bedroom that she has to go to GC. Also when Patraleka told Virat to forget Sai, they showed his shock for like 2 seconds and that's it. Sometimes, I feel the director should concentrate more on Virat's reaction. I love how they concentrate on Virat giving tender/intense looks to Sai and him shaking his head slightly when someone disappoints him.
Today I felt bad for Virat in the bedroom scene. Sai said things in anger she should not have, especially "when did I say I will only do things you like." Virat was really hurt by that. To me today, it was not a typical husband-wife fight. Today, Sai spoke with Virat the way she speaks with the rest of his Chakram family. The family deserves it, Virat did not. She came in guns blazing today with him. Anything he said, she either argued back, hurt him, or screamed. Not once did she even consider his words, even if she did not agree.
But the thing is, Sai told him a couple of times why can't he tell his family to behave instead of telling her. And she is right about that. Virat keeps on ignoring the way Sai is being treated by his family. He ignored it in the car ride and in fact gave Sai a lecture that was totally misplaced and today also he did not pay attention to it. Amay matter aside, I think Sai made it clear to him that his family's opinions don't matter to her and that he needs to talk to his family. I hope in the neat future, Sai CALMLY tells Virat, "she needs to concentrate on her studies and staying in the house is not helping. The family wants her to do all duties of a bahu but treat her like garbage day in and day out. He is at work and he cannot see it but he can ask his mom if he does not believe her. She is 18 years old, brought up in a household where she was loved. She is sick and tired of constant fighting. Being married to him is not a problem but that she cannot stay in his house." Hopefully, that will make Virat deal with his family's treatment of her.

Excellent analysis Anvi! I totally agree that Sai just didn't listen to Virat at all today. My heart went out for him. Thats because of Neil's portrayal of Virat. His expressions are OMG, out of this world. Even in anger he emoted his true feelings towards Sai. Not sure if Virat loves Sai yet, but she matters like no one ever did to him. I hope Sai goes beyond his usual rhetoric of "jimmedari" and "friend/love" and sees that this guy can actually be possessive about her.
Sai doesn't consider his words when he says talk to the elders politely and I couldn't agree with her more. Virat needs to talk to his family soon about their treatment to Sai because if that is the treatment then Sai's reactions are perfect for them.
To me this episode showed the fight husband wife would have. Husbands can react this way if they feel their wife is flirting, putting herself in trouble or neglecting them and wives can react like Sai that whats a big deal because they don't mean any of the things the husband is thinking of.
Yes Neil deserves accolades👏very very fine n indepth action and expressions..the tears in his eyes..oh my god😭
Neil was beyond brilliant today 👏 such Beauty !
I am relieved that the cvs did a fine job with the dialogues. My heart went out for Virat today. I'm assured that SaiRat is going to be one such journey where we will actually see both of them GROW TOGETHER !!
Also I'm relieved that Stone Lekha did not come to their room after all the shouting & fighting that they were doing. Phew !!!

But today, I truly felt bad for Virat. I feel bad for Sai because she is called all the names and abused all the time by chakram gang, but today I felt Virat was deeply hurt by Sai.
When she said "maine kab kaha ki jo cheez aap ko pasand nahi hai vo main nahi karungi", Virat had moist eyes. I was personally hurt for him just like I get personally hurt for Sai when the chillar party gangs up on her. Not sure his anger was out of jealousy or protectiveness, but he was helpless and hurt in that moment. However, I liked that fight between them because that exchange felt like a normal husband wife argument. Virat probably doesn't even know, but Sai matters to him, like no one else ever did. I never support Virat when he says "bado se tameez se baat mat karo....etc. etc." Because the elders there don't deserve that, however, Virat didn't deserve to hear that from Sai. Neil portrayed every emotion spot on! BOW DOWN! The whole bedroom fight was about him being either jealous or protective, but Sai couldn't read it. I think Virat's "jimmedari" and "friendship/love" rhetoric will not allow her to see through the man. She sees his care towards her as his "Jimmedari" nothing more. BUT Neil kudos to you for your performance.👏
All couples have fights and some are severe ones too, when they don't talk to each other for days, but when the bond is there, those fight don't matter. Today, their exchange displayed that bond to me that even their sweet scenes haven't shown. Virat was speaking more from depth than just empathy and care! Again Neil Kudos
Totally agree. It was brilliantly executed and equally brilliantly supported by Ayesha too. Neil portrayed that unspoken heartbreak of an unknown feeling so well.
True!!! Neil is a much underrated actor. I am happy he has finally landed up in a big project as a male lead. I hope ye SP waale recognise kare and give him the much needed recognition and rewards.
