But what did it matter? Virendra's fingers formed a fist, the kamarbandh he had picked up, digging into the flesh of his palm. His caring for Purvi meant nothing. He was in love with Sakshi. Would always be. There would be no one else for him. She was the love of his life.

And Purvi deserved to be loved like that. With the softness of flower petals and the intensity of a thunderstorm.

Virendra started moving with slow steps, meandering towards the study while his thoughts remained on the moment that had changed everything between him and Purvi. She had said she loved him. His mind burnt to the memory of her lips forming the word love.

He ran a hand over his face, not knowing if he wanted to scream in frustration or weep.

How could she love him? Him, who had misjudged her and punished her for things that were never her fault. Memories of Juhi's birthday flashed before his eyes. He had been an absolute jerk that day. And Purvi loved him.

It won't last, he told himself. I'm the first man in her life. She thinks she loves me but it's nothing but an infatuation. It won't last. It can't last.

Distance is what she needed. With wooden movements, he dialled the number of Munshiji.

"Manne Delhi jaana hain.. Ek ghante mein. Aap intazam karo."

He dropped into the nearest armchair and squeezed his eyes shut. With a desperation, he tried to recall the moments he had spent with Sakshi but all he saw was Purvi. Purvi eclipsing everything.

I'm waiting for that day on the show. And I really really pray that it's purvi who says I love you first. Coz we hardly see that in ITV and given that she is not the shy creature that the ITV FL always is, it would be so fitting too. Then I want Vir to break her heart because I need the angst too.
