Hey, being a new user, I just wanted to ask what these TLOW threads are?

As far, I've seen many of them, but little could I get from them is they are something containing riddles and Puzzle and much more.....

I would be thankful if anyone bothers to clear this to me

There is a game that's been going for IF user, the Labrinth of words, season 2. It's a riddle game. These threads are where the players, non-players and the organizers discuss the game, release the score and results. Also the deadline and other important notes are posted her by organizers.
