In yesterday’s episode, Kamal started calmly and jovially speaking to Bala in his usual weekend mode. For one point he said “Ungalukku Athu thappundu thonatha”, as though he was helping Bala out with his defence points. The moment Bala started denying stating some statements was when Kamal got frustrated. There was a point where Bala even stopped addressing Kamal as “sir” which was very odd to see I won’t call what Kamal did yesterday as targeting Bala at all. He wasn’t even aggressive with Bala about the mike breaking part, and the aggressive reactions. But Bala continuously playing dumb ticked him, but even then he held his cool and didn’t force Bala to apologise at all.
Kamal clearly said while opening up the discussions that there are 2 sides to all things, you can take what you want out of this session. But I could sense he was getting ticked off with the way the housemates were responding to his question on what their problem is with Aari. For Som, Gabby, Aajeedh he didn’t prod them more because their answers were honest and consistent. When he asked Rio what he said during nomination, he replied “naan sonnen neenga avalo maththavanga kooda vilayaadala, you were concentrating only on Bala”. Kamal again asked him “Ithu thaan neenga anga sonneengala?”, for which Rio said “apdithaan yaabagam irukku”. In reality, Rio said that point only when Aari prodded him separately, and in the nomination process mottaiya said “you both focus on each other”. Then for Shivani, Kamal clarified if she is starting her opinion or repeating what someone else said. With Ramya, she started off okay with her explanation, but then she got a little cocky and made a point “sofa thaan avaroda simhasan nda, inga ukkaarathu thaan ennoda simhasanam” and made some point about “makkal”. Which was when Kamal cut her off (he looked ticked off by the makkal mention).
Before anyone says if I’m supporting what Kamal said about biceps and height, I’ve already made my point before that I don’t like Kamal’s treatment of opinionated women. After reading Rosel’s and Mirun’s post, I am also doubting if it’s a lack of clarity in his speech that led to us thinking he was targeting Ramya there. But whatever it was, he could have been more clear because in Ramya’s perspective it looked like he was referring to her favouring Bala for his physique.
