I said frontliners and I mean health care workers and not just doctors. They are putting their own health at risk to do their "job". Hotel employees who sacrificed their lives to save guests during Mumbai Attack 2008, where bound by their duty to help others first. When you are in service industry, government jobs, police armed forces or medicine, it is generally expected from the employees to put others first. Its part of the job. Personal life takes a second seat. It is taught, serve your work with 100% dedication. Someone who works in 9 to 5 job with regular leaves and holidays would not understand. If you cannot make these sacrifices for your work, better leave the field.

Most people here cannot bear a single comment against them. Imagine dealing with vitriol from everywhere. Media targeted her for TRP. She never cried publically like Arnab. She did got help from lawyers, which anyone under Indian law gets. She did stood strong.

Ummm.. No.. Hippocratic oath is simply about treating the patients to the best of one's ability. It is a promise to do no harm.. It does not say to risk your and your loved ones life trying to save others life in inhumane working conditions...

Not the pvt sector but Most of the govt hospital staff has been working for months without salary without proper ppe kits taking in double the load of usual patients

And hotel staff are responsible to ensure their guests are well looked after. Their duty does not involve taking a bullet for them which they did in Bombay

I get that the girl has been needlessly vilified but to prop her up you can't dismiss the contribution of the people who have gone way beyond their call of duty.

No civilian job says if you can't risk your life then "better leave the field" like you put it.

From shaheen bagh to the pandemic to the farmers protest and the person of the year is rhea???

If they didn't see their family in months, it's probably because they didn't want to see them.

Also the doctors were also simply doing their job. Selflessly? I don't know. They are getting paid for it right? Every job has its demanding times. No need to glorify one profession unless its humanitarian work.

what ?! nurses and ward boys and ambulance drivers also come in health care workers and they are being paid minimum and had to work in high risk environment and yet they did their duty 24*7 .. doctors yaa they r being paid ( not talking about doctors working at government hospitals ) but they did their job in this condition where they were at high risk .. do you even know how many doctors , nurses , wardboys and other health care workers lost their lives cos they were infected by covid while doing their duty ?! so damn yaa they deserve this title more than anyone

was Rhea vilified yes but she fought for her own life and her own reputation unlike the health care workers who have been serving others and doing their job by keeping their lives at stake .. no one can come above these people who have been doing their duty and helping people

Her battle wasn't handled by the lawyer, that was only in court. The actual battle (or should I call it attack cause it was one-sided) was outside the court. Where the entire media machinery, government, 3 national investigating agencies and two police departments were running a witch-hunt against her

Not to mention social media; the 80k IT cell bots and lakhs of new-born SSR fans were sending her death threats and rape threats and the worst of abuses every day on SM.

Her own neighbours would gossip about her and spread rumours that later turned out to be plain lies.

Her entire industry was silent for months. It only woke up when they realized the attack was slowly going to be on the rest of Bollywood as well.

How her family was harassed even at their home.

The non-stop tirade against her by SSR's families, all of which were blatant lies or baseless accusations.

She was dealing with all this herself, no lawyer could help her with all this.

And she was doing it when she was already highly traumatized by the sudden death of her lover.

You must be a special kind of human being to discredit her even now, after she came out clean from all the muck thrown at her. Shameful!

P.S. And the so-called Salman's lawyer couldn't stop her from being jailed for a month for buying a few grams of weed. Salman neverhad to go to jail for that long even though he killed an actual human being and an endangered species.
