I think it is to show how Virat and Sai's bond becomes stronger.

Totally agree, she should have been in the room crying and missing her dad like she was before maushi came in. Virat should have gotten candyfloss and balloons and surprised her like her dad used to.

Maybe they could have had a moment to themselves before others come to invite Sai for lunch and made it a happy moment.

Not everything needs to be super dramatic esp since they didn't even show this in precap.

I think virat wanted to have a private moment but when he returned his bedroom gave the feel of the ladies compartment except Sonali all the mahilas of the Chavan khandaan and their samdhan UM were there.
