Lemme tell you guys a basic pillar of patriarchy: swallowing unjustified insults in the name of ‘sanskaar.’ I’m almost 20 and I know that one should always respect elders, but everything has a limit. Imagine going to your in-laws’ house and being told that you have brainwashed their son to marry him. Imagine the audacity of someone to say “mai bolungi aur tumhe sunna padega.” There’s a thin line between respect and surrender. And Anupamaa is teaching Kinjal the latter. We all wanted Anu to change herself, but her basic instinct of “sacrificing one’s self respect for family” is still there. AND she wants Kinjal to adopt it too. I expected something better from Anu. Plus, I liked how Rakhi is using a planned way to probably make Kinjal see the vices of the Shah house. But I hated that the makers are trying to make Rakhi a typical vamp now. Everything she has said till now makes perfect sense, and everything Anu says is just ‘’self sacrificing morals.” Yet the former is a vamp and the latter the ‘angel.’ The show is getting typical af now. And Anupama 2.0(Kinjal) is in the making under the benevolent guidance of Anupama.

I agree so much.

Anupama feels like Sweet poison and Rakhi is the bitter medicine. You have to make some tough decisions even if it hurts you to grow, I think trying to keep Kinjal in the family will be another wakeup call for Anupama, that you cannot bind people in relationships by asking them to let their self respect get trampled for the sake of family harmony.

Anupama has numbed herself thinking that badon ka datna unka ashirwad. That is the sanskar the champion of patriarchy the badi saas has got her to believe.

Kinjal would be woken up by her mom and we have to see what inone does.

Truth bonb: I was waiting for them to show the growth of Anupama, enabled by Kinjal who helps her spread her wings. Instead we see Anu asking Kinjal to give her wings some rest. Let us see how this unravels ahead.
