Okay I don’t know how to post link in IF properly I guess because whenever I try it it just shows the same page 😆

Let me show the screenshot instead ImageImage

OK thanks. Never heard it before.

We were always taught that outright only should be used as both adjective and adverb.

In your example it sounds right most definitely but in her sentence it was certainly wrong.

Will watch the episode again and write.

You see I am a teacher myself and unfortunately my ears pick up mistakes even unknowingly!

Oh I'm sorry, I didn't know we were watching an English class.

Otherwise no need to worry about my creativity. I have enough of it, not to worry!

And yes one more point. I do not look down upon those who can't speak the language or don't master it. I just have a problem with the ones who think like that but who themselves are pathetic in the language!

And yes despite your comment I will continue my series on Rubina's pearls of wisdom!

That was Jasmine who bragged about convent school, not Rubina

I havent seen Rubina ever flaunt that shes better than others or say shes perfect in English. Seems you have done a PhD in mind reading.

I was a teacher too, not of English but still I get what you mean. And as I said, the context and the sentence she used it in might have been wrong, I don’t know, but the word is a part of English grammar. British English and American English are somewhat different so it might be that as well, I am not an expert in this.

“Reminisce” she used it incorrectly. The word was correct but the context was incorrect. I am sure she wasn’t remembering that instance “fondly”. But we’ll, to err is human. So I always give that person a benefit of doubt.

So would I have if the husband wife don't strut around acting superior and throwing English around clearly to show off and many times they have claimed to me classier than all the others. This seems to have rubbed me the wrong way.

I guess I am good with it though not done a PhD in it yet but have met many many people and am pretty decent in judging people for who they are. And it's quite obvious from the couple's demeanour as well that they think they are superior to the others in general and because they converse in English in particular.

Anyway I am now done with this.

See most of us don't even care about the mistakes......because at the end of the day....language is just a tool to communicate ..and as long as I understand what the person said...I don't care about the mistakes......but Rubina....looks down on everyone....she thinks that she is superior....and anyone who thinks that they are superior to others.....is a No No for me....so every time Rubina makes a mistake I will laugh at her....period..I do not like the classless and ghatiya people who think that they are above others...🤢

My English is not that good. But today while Jass and Ruby were fighting the word came 'demeanizition'?? Means Humiliation... Demean- Demeanizition🤣. Demonenitization suna tha yeh kya hai? And 'girth of humanity' means 'dearth of humanity' tha kya? I never understood that one.
