Hell no! I am not part of his thirst fan club but objectively speaking he is a rarity in BW...he has it all: commercial and critical success, he found his niche besides the Khans, super versatile, looks, and has true star power. Like Tom Cruise, he barely needs any promotion but will always stuck in people’s minds...whether admirers or critics. He can go on a hiatus for years, go through scandals and still come back to an engaged audience. That’s true star power. If anything, I think his acting is underrated (overshadowed by his looks); when he is not on steroids and acts, boy can really act. Doesn’t feel cringe or forced. Same for Saif, they are both natural actors.

Yup and he’s loosened up quite a bit and/or is consciously trying to unlearn everything that was forced on him by the old timers like RR and VVC (the heading shaking/face quivering started with Mission Kashmir and got more established with Krrish, urgh) but since Kaabil, he’s been getting rid of them one by one and it’s amazing to see. Especially in S30 and even more so in WAR 🙌🏼 Bas movies sign kare toh, let’s see how long he takes this time😴

Problem with Hrithik was that, he was very inconsistent (in the beginning), and only managed to give hits with a very limited set of criteria: initially only in his father's films, and after every 3-4 years.

Like after KHNH, he had over dozens of flops for the next 3 or so years until again his father's film saved him (KMG). Then it took him another 3 or so years to score another hit with (once again) his father's film, Krish. Then 2 years gap before JA, etc. Take a look at SRK in the 90s -- he had like a big film every year, sometimes even more than one. Or Aamir in the late 2000s or Salman afterwards, or even Saif in 2000s. They consistently had big hits every year, with different directors and movies. Hrithik only struck gold every 3 years with his father's film. The roles he played were also larger-than-life roles, like JA, superhero in Krish etc. He can't make any Raj-Rahul type role work.

He's a star no doubt, but not as big a star as the 3 Khans.
