Girls i need some laughter and light time 🥺 I saw veterinarian's story in paava kadhaigal on Netflix and I don't think I've seen something so freaking disturbing in so long . Veteri as usual comes through and is a master at showing the ground realities on our society is such brutal ways . I knew this would be coming I just got that eery feeling like I felt ants crawling up my body the moment I saw the dad giving the water to Sumatra aka sai Pallavi character on the episode/short film i just felt it and uske baad I half closed my eyes yet kept watching and it has been so freaking painful I can't even describe...

It is so so heartbreaking yet so good . The 2 episodes I have seen are so good and I am yet to watch the out critically acclaimed one out of the 4 bas himmat nahi ho rahi meri caz I can guess usme bhi aisa hi kuch hoga esp given the trans character who people have hailed so much. I want to see but I cannot gather the courage after vetrimaran's story.

Edit: just finished watching thangam andOMGGGGG it's painfully Endearing and easily the most sensitive representation of a trans boy omggg Saathhhar gotmy heart such an endearing innocent boy. you should all watch this one. easilY the best of best That 2020 had to give us in terms of content. i like how things weren't shown in gore here yet they hit so hard .PERFORMANCE of the year. Ek dum KHOOBSURAT hai yeh wala episode. what a wonderful job by sudha as a director whata year she is having first soorarai puttru and now this in this both formats she has shined. i prefer thangam a bit more though caz of it's 37 mins duration. But omg watch it guys so i can talk about it it is the first episode . Kalidas ka finally big break through ho gaya hai and with reviews it seems like he has Arrived. easily my fav out of the 3 i have seen. absolute best of2020 tis short story is

p.s they have hindi audio for this series on Netflix so you don't have to read subs lol 😆 but 4 main se thangam zaroor dekhna A MUST WATCH this one is

If you want to watch something lighthearted , there is a Marathi movie Cycle on Netflix. Its about an astrologer who is very kind hearted, but believes he got this talent because he inherited this cycle from his grandfather and one day his cycle got stolen. 😆Its kind of moral story. The cinematography is beautiful. ❤️

The other is Bokya Satbande on Prime, its based on a comic book about this kid who cares for others and tries helping them .

Both the movies are simple, feel good and touching:)

Ekdum tacky looking set and wardrobe hai show ka. But chalo as long as sab kuch SAVAGE hai, is sab se kya farak padta hai😆......seems like the whole show is just about Sai bahu bajaaoing everyone....no wonder it's TRP bonanza😆

I actually watched it on mute, so the only thing I noticed is cheap sets and costumes. Lol its so gawdy, like everything is loud🤣 Furniture, set, costumes, jewellery and ACTOR 🤣 Its just hard to concentrate on whats going on in the show🤣 If there is something going on, that is 😆

Arey spidie, you and I lack that PAARKHI nazar to understand this GEM😆.....cheap sets/costumes se kya hota hai when "never before seen FL on ITV" hai😆.....the forum for that show is like an alternate reality in which no story can be deeper than the "epic" SaiRat😆.....It's interesting to watch how quickly it's taken hold in terms of popularity.....people are clearly seeing something in it that we aren't able to.....every clip I chance upon is just filled with OTT scenes and bad acting....but they've found a loyal audience that is psychoanalyzing every character in the show now😆.

These people are jauharis😆, hamare bas ki baat nahi hai, to understand the depth. I agree with never seen before FL 🤣, she really is that bad you can hardly find that bad of a main lead 😆 Baaki what bothers me is people lapping it up saying it’s different and path breaking .

LOL actually now that I'm thinking about it, this case seems somewhat inspired from SGP....wahaan pe bhi toh "immature" FL thi in the form of Suhana who eventually learns to appreciate her pati and sasural😆......this Savage Sai seems like less naive and childish version of Suhana but otherwise same immaturity and tantrum throwing traits hain......and SGP also was a remake of a Bengali show only....lol

Bengalis seem to have aced this formula of writing 'childish' FLs who become ideal bahus after shaadi😆.....but usse pehle they have a whole "journey" of "adjusting" in their sasural and are "hatke" cuz they challenge the status quo😆.

Many people say they are tired of typical "abusive" rude heroes so they like any story where hero isn't being abusive.....lol that's a fair point.....but you know what I'm even MORE tired of? A story in which the leads have to be instantly married and then everyone starts automatic shipping cuz they are pati-patni so perfect match.....baaki kuch interaction development ho na ho.....par shaadi ho gayi hai toh instant connection hona hi hona hai and ab sab "ideal" hai....lol

Like if I was to take GK's example.....yes they too got married in strange circumstances but their relationship was never dependent on that shaadi for development.....they shared a solid connect independent of that shaadi.....and that is why that story is worth appreciating.

Instant shaadi stories I'm super allergic to more than ever now.....but for most people, that is enough....lol actually more than enough.....this show also has only taken off since this SaiRat got married.....now people are coming out of the woodworks to psychoanalyze everything about them.....lol shaadi se pehle toh kisi ko itne feels nahin aa rahe the.....kaafi dead forum tha.

*Edit: And on top of my allergy to instant shaadi stories, the main actress is just BAD.....like even to sell a cliche like this, dhang ki casting toh kar lete.....I saw a clip of the Bengali version and that actress has presence....even for a shitty storyline....lol yahaan toh woh bhi nahin.....but still this will automatically find an audience cuz SHAADI and Bahu who is keeping her sasural on tenterhooks😆
