Y wasn't Sumati compelled to perform sati? Was it coz she is a mother? Donno if the sati track will come up again. In Bon's case she was never really married to that old man as he died while taking the last phera but that man's family was selfish to force that girl into sati coz apparently the man gets salvation post her sacrifice. Maybe if Sampoorna is shown to be pregnant she may not have to commit sati. But Ani can address the topic of widowhood and remarriage.

I am guessing they might touch upon remarriage. Given Sampoorna is young, they might want to consider that. Sati? Should see if Saurabh's mom will compel her. Doubt that happening.

Yeah they could have replaced the actor playing Saurabh. Just like they did with Somnath and Batuk.
