It was really bad what Pia did with Price tag in 3 Idiots.

That bitch Pia ditched him at the last moment and ran away from her marriage. Imagine the humiliation he went through because of his bride running away from the wedding. His friends and relatives would've made fun of him for the rest of his life because of that.

If Pia was so much in love with Rancho even after not seeing him for 5 years, to run away from her wedding at the last moment, just because she got to know about Rancho's whereabouts, even without considering that in these 5 years Rancho might have moved on, or could have fallen in love with some other girl, she shouldn't have agreed for marriage with some other guy in the first place if she was so much crazily in love with him.

Rancho and Pia weren't even in a stable relationship to begin with. Rancho proposed to her at the end of his final year, and then he disappeared after graduating. Pia might be crazily in love with Rancho but I don't see the same level of love from his side. Was he ever seriously in love with her at all?

Also why did Pia agreed to marry Price tag if she broke her engagement with him 10 years ago because of him being a big show-off about his branded clothes and accessories? Didn't she get any other guy to marry who is compatible to her? Are her choices only limited to Rancho and Price tag? The only proper explanation of this is that Pia and Price tag were in a relationship before their wedding for Pia to truly consider marrying him this time, which only makes Pia the worst.

Rancho and Pia are a couple made in hell. Both are cruel people who don't care about feelings of anyone other than their own or their loved ones. Baki duniya jaaye bhad mein. Unko ghanta farak nahi padta. Rancho humiliated Chatur in College and Pia humiliated Price tag in their wedding. And we the audience are supposed to laugh it off because they are hero and heroine of the movie.

In general

Yeah it’s irritating to see last minute wedding of hero and heroine as true love and the other actor being projected as a grey character or accepting it and being the “good person”.Being ditched at the last moment in a wedding when so many guests are called is traumatic in real life and this nonsense is glorified onscreen. Why even agree for an alliance while you love someone else?

Also those songs which they play with the sulking bride/groom thinking about true love just moments before the wedding is so cringeworthy tbh.

It’s as if she wanted 1 guy chained to her while she went after another 😆

Don't you think Raju and Farhan should be held accountable for gate crashing Piya's wedding else she would be married to price tag.

if you keep digging like this ... especially with "3 idiots" ...the movie is wrong at many many levels. It would have still been alright(there are so mny other movies that are so wrong..aneways)... But, this movie is actually preachy.

It takes pride in giving a message...and to no less... to the young and gullible .

Yes.

Constant shaming of that guy is trashy , he is successful and rich, let's make fun of him for being a good citizen and give him trashy treatment.

Good he got saved from that vile pia girl.

What are your thoughts on Runaway Bride, Pooja in Dil Hain Ke Maanta Nahin, Happy Bhaag Jayegi, and other movies where brides run away at the wedding.

Also, what about when Ross said Rachel? What's your take on that? Should Emily have called of the wedding right then?

My problem is not that Pia ditched Price Tag.

It's that she ditched him, then got back with him when she thought Rancho was not an option, then ditched him again when Rancho was back! Total user.

Bollywood - actually commercial cinema around the world - has this bad habit of denigrating values like hard work and prudence, and the success which might come with said values is also mocked. See: 3I, ZNMD.

While it is true that following your dreams can get you creative fulfillment, it is also true that 95% of those ventures don't succeed. I'm sorry, but society/family has a right to expect you not to be a financial drag as long as you're an able-bodied adult. If you're so fond of your dreams, work on the side to support yourself instead of running off and expecting your parents to support you. If you want to be treated as an independent adult, be an independent adult.

Worse for me is the billionaire reforming trope in books and movies. OK, the guy has already made his money😆, so the lady (it is mostly male billionaires) can now show him how to spend it. They like having the cash but mock the values which go into earning it. Talk about hypocrisy!
