Word on what a passionate character Kesar was.....the level of earnest honesty in him is what made his passionate side more compelling beyond the typical tropes of angsty stories.

By the end of the story, you come to realize na why he was meant to be Gulaal's destiny....no one stood up to Gulaal like Kesar did....and no one stood up FOR Gulaal like Kesar did either....she finally comes to realize this during her lowest phase when the family she lived for her her whole life also abandons her and it is Kesar who stands up for her like no one else.

I don't remember it that clearly now but way back in the forum we also discussed how even the names of the three main characters had so much foreshadowing.....Gulaal and Kesar are both the names of colors....Gulaal is red....Kesar is Saffron and is used to give color and flavor to food.....Vasant is the name of a season (spring)....a season is meant to pass - it never lasts forever. Kesar was always meant to be Gulaal's soulmate and destiny.....Vasant was meant to be a season in her life that brought her to her higher purpose.

That is Kesar in a nutshell....the pure heart of a child jisko duniyadaari kabhi samajh nahin aayi because he was just so straightforward about his emotions and thoughts....while the world operates on appearances and perception games....and ofcourse I'm talking here about post confession Kesar, not the one being ripped apart by his MU over Gulaal.

He is way too direct in whatever he does and that was the reason he got in trouble.

All this becomes even more apparent in that phase where he keeps honestly sharing with Gulaal how much he depends on her emotionally or the fact that he honestly keeps expressing his desire to give her happiness without trying to hide it behind some excuse......woh aur baat hai ki Gulaal keeps getting defensive and giving him awkward looks which in turn then make him try to step back.....lol but overall his personality was just one of pure honesty. It was the blazing honesty of his feelings that I think also spooked Gulaal a lot which is why she tried to dismiss him as nasamajh to make it easier to deny him any standing😆.

There is this whole phase where Kesar tells her so many times, I don’t know how to react to you any more because you might take it all wrongly. Even when Gulaal tells him, can you be my dost? He still has those questions as to he might just do things with pure good intentions but he is always scared that Gulaal may take it differently and the good thing is he even tells Gulaal that!

There is that epic chii scene from Kesar, his reactions the entire time were gold😆, were Gulaal misunderstands his intentions and afterward when he tries to make last 3 months happiest for Gulaal and invites her childhood friends she again misunderstood him. I just loved how Kesar says, aisa mere man bhi nahi aya. Every time he is just taken aback whenever he tries to do something good and its viewed differently by Gulaal.

As you rightly said, he just was way too honest with his feelings and he dis not use pretense to win over Gulaal. Every time Gulaal asked he would say , he loves her thats a fact he cannot change, so he did not even lie to her on that front.

So much word about Gulaal being spooked by Kesars honesty😆 , you can see her fumbling whenever Kesar answered her straight forwardly, she just had no comebacks for those😆

One of my fav. lines from that phase is, "Main tujhse pyar karta hoon, yeh baat mujhse zyada TERE dimaag mein ghoomti hai"😆. Matlab Gulaal ki situation was totally chor ki daadhi mein tinka types by then😆.....she kept claiming that she didn't feel anything for Kesar, that is why she rejected him but still it is SHE who always got more hyper-aware of him or any gesture of his.....even after he gave her everything she wanted, including an out from the DV. It was as if she needed to push him away even when he wasn't trying to win her over......as if she had a guilty conscience....which it turns out she did, even if she was in denial.

It was only after they had this big confrontation that she atleast started to admit that galti Kesar ki soch mein nahin, Gulaal ki samajh mein thi.....and that it was her who had built up walls around herself....which she then gradually started lowering to accept Kesar for who he was rather than making him feel like he couldn't be himself with her.

I recently was uploading that scene when Kesar is trying to tell Saru Fui the truth but Gulaal stops him and tells him that she has no problem accepting that they are husband-wife for 2 months😆....Kesar's face in that moment....bandaa soch raha hoga HAIN? Didn't she want to break the DV cuz she claimed she could never accept me as a husband? And ab she has no problem cuz of one Saru Fui?🤣......Gulaal ke paradoxical thought processes😆.....she had started to get used to the idea of Kesar as her husband in that phase only but she wasn't willing to admit fully why.

Neel was fantastic in those scenes, its like you feel every damn emotion, a small sigh, utter helplessness, turmoil within and the knowledge that his love will probably never reciprocated, he was so so good in showing the passionate side of Kesar without ever going OTT. Those angsty heroes just never have a strong enough reason to behave the way they do, even then its just superficial, meant to do pushing and pulling and showing hot scenes just for the heck of it🤔

Yes and it was shown so beautifully. That final phase really led to Gulaals realization, how he stood for her like a rock in the darkest time. I liked how they executed this Badlaav phase. It started with Kesar making persistent effort to make her live for herself. This thought in itself is so beautiful and it shows the depth of his love. 😳He simply wanted Gulaal to be like her real self, which she completely lost in her effort to keep the family from breaking up. I just love the little but invaluable things Kesar did for Gulaal during this time. Then came the complete abandonment and insinuations from the very family she gave up her life for🥺

That’s beautiful interpretation for their names!
The names especially Gulaal and Kesar felt so unique and have that earthy vibe just like the show did❤️

Thats my favorite line too😆 During all their heated arguments, it was Kesar who had the upper hand. It was mainly because he actually meant what he said. That always threw Gulaal off guard😆, I enjoyed watching Gulaal squirm at that time😆 She was in denial and trying her hardest to find something to blame Kesar of but failed miserably.

That line finally got through her defenses. How true it was too:)

It was so good to see the change in Gulaal, she started smiling more and be more relaxed and a bit carefree, old Gulaal started peeking through. It was like she was carrying such a big burden on her shoulder for so long, that it felt like she was just alive but not living.

Absolutely, in that phase it was Kesar who got offended on behalf of Kesar, he kept arguing with everyone Gulaal would not be comfortable to hide this fact for so long and it will stress her out, same with her accepting to do the vrat for Gulaal- Kesars child 😆, Kesar was fuming telling her not to do it, but Gulaal subconsciously at many points had started to care for Kesar as a husband. I think Reva and someone else also pointed that out to her, but she ignored😆 I liked that small ludo scene where both are fighting over like kids. Have to say Gulaal had a very strong competitive spirit, whether it be hop scotch, ludo or any challenge, she will always take the bait😆

Haha this is why Krishna also says na ki let go of expectations/akankshaayeinsmiley36....phir sab apne aap hi achha lagne lagta haismiley36

Thats true too. His simple philosophies of life are always relevant:)

Speaking of Kanha....I wish they showed this Radha calling him Kanha once....only the older Radha called him that in the early epis....they never showed yeh waali Radha calling him that even when she appears in her Devi Radha avatarsmiley36....I'm not sure why bas yehi ek nahin bulaati....all of Krishna's loved ones otherwise call him Kanha, but she still sticks to Krishna or Sri Krishna.....I wondered at one point if they were saving that for when they return to Golok but lagta nahin ab ki Golok jaakar bhi yeh waali Radha usko Kanha bolegi

Kanha has so much apnapan☺️, woh baat Krishna mein kahaa😆 It reminds you of Vrindavan wala Krishna:)) smiley36I guess show ke title ki wajah se they make Radha call hom Krishna😆 But I wish she called him Kanha more often . Shri Krishna to Radha ke muh se bilkul achha nahi lagta:(

Saambh is irritating mainly cuz of his shamelessness and the way he gets off scot free most of the time....Jaamvati is a blinded mom protecting her evil son. Both of them are there to do more atyachaar on RK daily soap stylesmiley36.

Anyways, I liked the RK scenes in last Friday's epi when Radha is insisting on walking her own path to prove the power of love since it hurts her that people blame her and Krishna's love for Saambh's condition. Even though Sumedh is obviously the superior actor of the two, I like that Malika holds her own in these little shades that Radha gets to portray from time to time beyond just standing around in the Dwarka court....lol

I am yet to watch this episode, but Malika does really good in whatever little she is offered. Its just they dilute her character so much and make it one sided that she does not really get a lot to do most of the times.

Yes, that Ludo scene was adorable....Gulaal was always a BRAT😆....she just hid it better than Kesar 😆....especially after she got married. But this is again what I mean by the fact that beneath the surface, Gulaal and Kesar were always more alike despite Gulaal trying to dismiss him as the immature one😆.

Her hyper competitive ziddi nature came out whenever she had a challenge in front of her and that's when you saw a whole other Gulaal come out who otherwise hides behind the facade of proper bahu.

Btw notice that even in Ludo, the color of pieces that Kesar picks is RED aka Gulaal😆....we used to marvel in the forum about whether these touches were deliberate or coincidental....given the attention to detail in the show otherwise, my bet is deliberate hi tha.....Kesar ka choice would always be Gulaal in everything😆.

This was also another one of those sweet scenes where Kesar finds a way to diffuse the tension and awkwardness by distracting Gulaal with a board game.....lol the moment he gave her something else to focus on other than the fact that she had to share a room with Kesar at night, she lightened up and started behaving normally with him....otherwise she was busy trying to curl up into a ball on the bed😆.

We were also pleasantly surprised that they changed the montage in the last stretch....I still wish though that we could have had one of them smiling together😆

Word on how much apnapan and warmth Kanha has....which is why I love it that Dau still calls him Kanha😆....that is the only connection left to the warmth of the Barsana days in a sense.

I don't know if it's cuz of the show title but yeah they seem to have taken a call to stick with Krishna for now.....lol word on how awkward Sri Krishna sounds from Radha's mouth....bahut zyada formal hai for what their relationship is....oh well....the rest is still nice so I guess I can ignore it in the larger scheme of things😆.

Oh I loved that so much ca gulaal ki shakal at that was just so amusing 😆 it was extra hilarious caz she was connecting every little gesture to some neeyat main khot of kesar and an attempt to patao her 😆 jahan it was your regular casual being nice too. She made a hawa out of his feelings for her that oh hawww how can he seedhe se baat kar li meaning he wants something else . I esp loved the cold shoulder he gave her after that ke agar har baat pe itna hi shak karna hai toh let's not even talk and that also didn't work for gulaal caz then she craved for his attention uske yehi small gestures that she was nikalooing ulta matlab of. They did such a good job with kesar ki ek dum straight but pinching and thoughtful lines.

Oh yes in that scene only gulaal madam khud maze se goes yeah we are pati patni for 2 months and I will do everything in that time frame but moments later when in flow of conversation kesar says aisa toh tabhi ho sakta hai agar tujhe bhi mujhse pyar ho jaaye toh gulaal goes all 🤐🤐 yeh kya bol dia maine😆 sirf gulaal ko hi haq tha pati patni banane ka to do things in the shadow of that rishta but as soon as kesar tried to so something her protective shell was all out and she would avoid to even think and deny ke woh bhi aisa kich keh sakta hai ya kar sakta hai why? Caz he openly said it is pyar😆 while for gulaal it was only "farz"🤣towards the khandaan

And i personally loved it people forget that bahu hone ka matlab yeh nahi bota ke life khatam ho gayi hai one can no longer enjoy the little joys of life just caz ab woh bahu hai. The way they show it is so misleading where the girls are expected to be a zombie doing roti pani all the time and be a sevak almost. From their choice of clothes to every other wish be killed. There is a difference between being respectful and being a zombie. I am all about badon ke saath woh jo ek three and tameez ki line and formality karni padti hai woh theek hai but the way they show the girls being void of any other wishes alone too is just so bizzare to me and i would not understand it. Hence I loved this touch that despite under all this hardened self gulaal there was still this bachi left who when given a choice could be co.petitive even though it took a lot for effort on kesar and mostly talli's part to get her to shed that careful side of hers down. She wouldn't be hyper right from start but in due course she would start enjoying and be distracted where her real.self came up.

Waise yeh kitna ajeeb hai na and am speaking generally. A girl is told to fulfill every little desire of her after shaadi everytime she wants to do something she is told shaadi ke baad jahan marzi jaana jo marzi karna and then once they are married off they are told ab time is over and they should've done all this before marriage like excuse me kare toh kab kare?

It's hard to catch itna detailing but woww you have a point and if it was deliberately than special applause for them to keep this consistency and attention to detail

Oh yeah it was so nice to see them finally have their own montage. This was my fav along with woh chota kesar walking with gulaal in street wali around DV times
