Discuss Gurdeep Kholi as Ekta Kapoor's new Bani here, all topics will be merged here , repeated articles/topics will be deleted.

After Prachi Desai, Gurdeep Kohli will play Bani in Kasamh Se

Ekta Kapoor has finally found her new Bani for Kasamh Se! After the original Bani, Prachi Desai left the show as she will soon be making her Bollywood debut in Farhan Akhtar's Rock On, Ekta approached Gurdeep Kohli to step into Prachi's shoes. Currently, the creative team of the show is trying to work on Gurdeep's look, role and dates. If all goes well, the actress will start shooting soon and will be seen as Bani from April onwards.

Says Gurdeep, "Yes, it's true. But, I have not signed the contract yet. I am very excited as it's a great come back for me. I didn't expect such a big comeback! Ekta called me a few days ago and it was the first time that I met her. She has been very kind and co-operative. The creative team has to decide if I will have a new look as Bani. Also, my dates are currently being worked on. I have left myself completely in their hands."

Adds Gurdeep, "I took up this role because it's a popular show. Balaji Telefilms is the best production house in the country and Bani is such a popular character! I had absolutely no reason to turn down the role."

So is Gurdeep ready for the hectic schedule that is a part of a daily show? Says Gurdeep, "I understand that it's a daily soap but we have found a way to work out things. I am looking forward to working fulltime again. But, I am not going to take up any other show as my hands are full at the moment."

Did she have to do any homework for this role? "I am not a newcomer so I didn't have to do any homework," adds Gurdeep.

Prachi Desai

While Gurdeep is happy doing one of Balaji's most popular show, Kuntal Shukla, production head of Kasamh Se, says, "The new Bani will be finalised soon. Nothing's confirmed yet. Obviously the new Bani will look far different from what Prachi portrayed in Kasamh Se. Our hopes are pinned on Gurdeep."

Gurdeep was last seen in Bhabhi and she was also hosting a breakfast show.

gurdeep..... amongst all the three i wanted gurdeep to be the new bani.... she is a great actress and I think she will do good as bani, i wish her all the luck.

Gurdeep features and RK's features looks the same,especially the jaw line,forehead structure,nose,the way both open their mouth while speaking is just the same .They will look more like brother-sister/twins or it would be like seeing RK as female/bani,just my POV.

I loved Gurdeep in Sindoor but I hope she understands the subtlety in Bani's character. Good Luck to her.

I want Prachi back in august... If ekta can bring smriti back into kyunki why not Prachi back in KS.
Guys we need to push for prachis return to KS.

Gurdeep is ok as temporary bai till Prachi can return in Agust. Any way i will watch only if therer is no leap. I do't want to see 60 yr old Jai,40 yr old bani as parents of 20 r olds.Doesn't matter who it is.
