She's played arguably the two most iconic characters of the last 20 years in Poo and Geet. Mostly all the younger actresses grew up on these movies and she's the only star from that time that's still among the biggest stars today. Ash, Preity, Rani have faded considerably, PC came into her own much later, and Katrina is more loved for her dancing. Also, she has this undeniable star quality that translates both on and off screen so there's a strong connect with her.

To impress Kjo. Kjo jab spent force banjayega wahi actors bolenge Kareena who? Kareena is what Kjo aspires to be... so if he sees 1% of Kareena in anyone he takes the actor under his wings.

Real mein toh saare DP/Katty ko copy karte hai.. inn dono ke kapde aur makeup style copy karte rehte hai... esp. before joining BW.

Coz she's has that longevity in her career to have influenced so many young girls. Nonstop, back to back. Hardly one year when she didn't have a film release.
