Hey Anam.
Yes I am going to reread "It ends with us". I haven't read this as many times as other colleen hoover books. So it will be enjoyable for me.
And great pick for this month. I have watched the crazy rich Asians movie several times. It's so colourful. I would love to read the book to know more about it. Can't wait!!!
I read the book earlier this year so I won’t be reading it. I might listen to it as an audiobook.
Thanks for liking this month’s pick. I’ve read some mixed reviews about the book so was a bit unsure whether to choose this book or not, but then I decided to go for it.

I loved the first half of Anxious People. After that I am not sure what happened, either it just dragged or I lost focus🤔
My favorite parts were the interviews.
What put me off was how the book kept jumping from present to past. It was hard to keep up lol.
I think the jumping from past to present was everyone’s issue with the book here.
After the reveal of who the bank robber was, the book lost steam.

This was a weird book. When I say weird what I mean is that while reading it I was like, what is happening? Why is this happening? What I am supposed to do with that information? This was pure chaos. But the sort of chaos you end up liking it when everything falls into place. I have never read something like this.
It seemed like the author couldn't decide what genre he is going for. It was a cocktail of humour , self help and suspense genres. It took me so many days to get into this book. It was boring at times but very introspective at others. One needs to read it more than one time to find deeper meanings in there.
My favorite character is Estelle. I don't agree with her though when she says nobody sees her. I SEE YOU ESTELLE. She is so romantic and kind.
I loved the build up of suspense in the book. What I don't like is that it was too long. The editor couldn't make it crisp so that we can get hooked. The three scenarios going on at the same time were a pain to catch up.
I agree with Anam. This was one touching book with beautiful quotes. I think in future this will be regarded as a classic.
And this book and those idiots (who were not actually idiots) gets 4 ✨ from me.
Thank you!!!
I agree with you when you say the book was a cocktail and it did take longer than a book of this length should have. There was too much going on. Although in retrospect I can see the flaws in the book, it just had so much heart that I ended up liking it despite its flaws.
A Man Called Ove was a better book, it was more coherent in comparison. Nonetheless I’d like to read more of Fredrik Backman’s books.
@Diya: You must be happy to finish the book. I felt the same way when I was reading The Color Purple. My aim was to finish the book and I couldn’t appreciate the book all that much.
I’m pretty sure all of us have massive TBRs and books we can’t wait to get to. Sometimes an enjoyable activity like reading can also be stressful. I really hope we can make at least a teeny tiny scratch on our TBRs.

I Have read beautiful disaster so many times that I have lost count. It's so romantic 😭. I only liked Thomas's book in the Maddox brothers series. Others couldn't do it for me. I read All the little lights earlier this year. A bit dragging but what a suspense!!!!! Loved it 😍

Maybe because of the pandemic everything slowed down, I hope we get an update next year.
Anyway I am so involved in this book I dont think I have ever invested myself so much in any book. I am already nearly finished and I dont want it to end but still I cant stop reading. I dont think ill be able to get into any other book after this.😭
One of the most emotional books ever.
I’m happy you liked the book. I’m sure even Shanam will be thrilled to know that you liked the book. I’ve read this book a total of 3 times which is a lot considering I hardly ever revisit books.
The disadvantage of starting with an author’s best work is that no other book will be able to match up.
I am so glad you liked the book @ unique. sheep. And yes Anam I am thrilled 👍🏼btw my favourite book of Colleen hoover is still All your perfects. Unique. Sheep you should definitely read it. It's a tear-jerker that shouldnt be missed by you.
I think the jumping from past to present was everyone’s issue with the book here.

tbh i never understood who it was🤣 or maybe i already forgot

I found beautiful disaster overhyped tbh...it was a typical story,,,i found the maddox series and all the little lights more interesting, will go back and read them again next year!
I also want to read From Here to you
