Abusive relationship-Kaira

What bothers me about this show is that one on hand there is an extremely abusive husband who is the main lead of the show who has a huge fan following, on the other hand, there is an extremely submissive wife who is also the main lead of the show and has a huge fan following. He yells and screams and mentally tortures her for no reason and she yells and cries and keeps running away all the time , only to come back at the slightest sorry uttered only as a lip service. I sincerely hope that both of their behaviors are not considered normal or acceptable in the name of "love" or "soul mates". This is the perfect example of an abusive relationship where the abuser feels he is at his free will to scream and torture and the person abused forever feels guilty!

After everything these two have gone through you’d think they would learn from their mistakes but no! I think writers have some obsession with Kaira re-vivahs so they keep finding excuses to separate them and have the Kaira milan with 2 weeks of wedding rituals.

Kartik has been ruined badly. Esp when he supports his molester cousins. ITV shows have regressive content but I have never seen an ML outright support a known sexual assaulter.
Kartik keeps blaming Naira for everything and she keeps crying all the time. Some sherni she is.

Tomorrow Naira is going to forgive Karthik.just a sorry & I love you does the trick...!!

Not defending Kartik. He has grown to become the worst but Naira is pretty much on the same level now.

If Kartik becomes a brainless hothead at the drop of a hat.. Hiding things & fudging everything up in the itch to be 'mahaan' is Naira's game. Her hiding graduated to hiding herself & Kairav for 5 whole years, leaving everyone to grieve her death. That's probably THE most abusive incident between this couple. (Not to forget that she didn't care how her memory-erasing clots could endanger Kairav's birth & early life)

kartik is a cr@ppy husband and an disappointing character overall but yeah, Naira’s deeds aren’t criticized as much. Even I forget it. But what you wrote has to be one of the worst things this couple has done to each other.

Imagine putting your family through a fake death because your husband questioned you. You are rightfully enraged so divorce him, start your life afresh. Not like what she did. Putting her elder grandmas, her brother, father (?) through so much. Smh 🤦🏻‍♀️

See both are equally toxic but my issue is Kartik gets away with everything. I have seen Naira groveling or punished for months before shes forgiven but Kartik one sorry one episode thats it. The punishment he got for Taking away Naksh Kirtis baby wasnt anywhere close to enough... Not giving a mother a chance to hold her baby one time atleast that was a cruel thing to do. The wife he claims to love unconditionally and madly, he questions her character in the worst way possible. imagine your husband asking you if you slept with another man..the thought makes me wanna vomit so no i had no sympathy for Kartik post 5 year leap. Naira all she cares about is her husband and inlaws... She doesn't give a crap about her maternal family and Kartik at the drop of a hat meri ma, mere papa,meri behen, meri dadi jaap starts and now mera beta. With all this Kairav kaand how is Kartik not at fault? If after the gun incident truth was out they sat all kids down and asked them to come clean then Vansh could have been saved. He is partky to be blamed for making a mother a villain in her sons eyes. And what makes me cringe is that he thinks he has mastered parenting. Just be a cool dad bribe kids to make them do what you want and just let kids do what ever they want even if its something as dangerous as messing with gun ans never ask them questions.

I agree with you. This is where my problem lies too. People say that Naira isn't criticized as much but she's always bring called mahaan both by audience members and the so-called Goenkas. Naira gets shit on all the damn time. Karthik has barely taken accountability for all the damage and shit he's done. Disgusting character.

Honestly, that's almost always Naira's own doing.

Kartik does extremely shitty things but he apologises much better. He assumes full responsibility in words + gives space + starts discussions + pulls grand gestures that Naira & Goenka's love.

Naira's way of handling mess is always running away/not facing the other person for extended amounts of time. So that's exactly what she gets. Adult Naira has added a new step - force conversations on the victim immediately, when they're in the emotional reaction phase & need space to calm down. Coupled with her yelling & crying, it justifies her running away to the audience. Plus, she also never assumes full responsibility in words & makes herself the victim too. Like her dialogues in the current track -

1) "Kartik, tumhe lagta hai ye sab maine kiya?".. Umm, duh?

2) "Maine apne bacche ke sath aise kaise hone diya".. When it should have been "Maine apne bacche ke sath aisa kaise kiya". It was literally her made-up allegation & behaviour that traumatized Kairav. Akshara never alleged or even doubted Naira of anything.

What's common is that both Kartik & Naira majorly guilt trip other people & never have any character development.
