Gayu you deserve nothing

I controlled but had to write it here, really Gayu is complaining Akshara Naitik to love their own daughter who got separated for so many years and came back? And she is blaming Kartik that he doesn't love Vansh like kairav? Why should kartik love vansh as kairav? If you are so gutsy Gayu complain it to Samarth..Rama dadi time and again reprimanded naira and akshara but did she for once reprimand Nikhil Gayus biological father??? Gayu, it's your fault that you tried to take Nairas place and tried to give vansh kairavs place.. It's neither Naira nor Kairavs fault.. Second thing did the chachi forget, how naira and Naksh didn't complain for her daughter for Aksharas murder? Luv Lush had molested the girl, was it a forgivable offence? And why should kairav get punished for crime he hasn't commit? Just because you are jealous??? The guts and questions which she asked were better to be addressed to only Samarth.

Goenka villa doesn't belong to Samarths chachu.Period

Gayu lost her parents and akshara naitik lost there daughter. They compensated for each other's loss that time. Yeas later akshara Naitik got there daughter back , but gayu never got her parents back .!!

I agree that akshara Naitik were not partial but definitely showered love on there long lost daughter once she came back ... Gayu felt left out and lonely . It was not her fault , she was an orphan insecurities are bound to happen . It was not akshara naitik fault too . I agree Rama dadi did aag me ghee dalne ka kaam .

I agree that samarth chachu didn't own the villa , but he and this Goenka family got her to this house with a promise of accepting her and her child like there own ... But failed miserably .

After naira's death ( assumed one) .. vansh was the ray of hope for the house , kartik ' loss was compensated by vansh and kartik compensated for vansh's father's place in a similar way how gayu and akshara compensated each other's loss ..but again when kairav came back , she felt that same thing happening to her son . Kairav got a son but vansh never got a father . Again nobody was at fault , it's just a matter of time and situation . Gayu has gone through a very bad time where she gone through terrible feeling . Feeling of getting replaced , left out and loneliness . She lost her love twice . And samarth is worthless . She is still alone .

Regarding surekha chachi , she was wrong in accussing naira for what happened to her sons. Inspite she should be accusing goenkas for what her sons had become that would have made more sense . I remember from luv kush childhood , how surekha wanted them to be deciplined but dadi being dadi used to sir pe chadaoing them , and shutting surekha up. That's what exactly they are doing to kairav now.

Correct Absolutely agree with you. The main problem in the entire Goenka family is Kdadi and Manish. Gayu's fate is such that where you can't do anything about it. At first when she was just 2 years old her father turned out to be a fraud had an affair with someone and cheated rashmi. Then rashmi got married to sameer who was a nice guy and gayu had gelled really well with sameer but soon later her parents died. Then naira ran away and Akshara naitik treated gayu like their own daughter but soon naira came back singhanias never differentiated between gayu and naira. Gayu was wrong in accusing singhania family because the Singhania's had given her a lot of love. Rama dadi is very manipulative from the very beginning.

On the other hand, it's clearly visible within the Goenka family there's a lot of partiality. I remember a couple of years back Akhilesh made a big project worked very hard on it and manish gave that project to kartik then he went by Kartik's words Manish gave it back to Akhilesh. Similarly during ram-leela time, it was clearly visible Manish and kdadi decided ram toh Hamara kairav hi Banega Matlab app log pehle se decide kar leto kya hoga that's very wrong. For them, only kairav matters rest of the kids don't matter which clearly shows that they are very partial. Manish and kdadi what natak they did hamne esa kuch nahi kiya all those fake tears. That's the reason why there was a fight among the kids but Kaira handled the situation well. krish performed much better than the others he memorized each and every dialogue, and not only that he acted really well. I was surprised when kairav got that main award, Krish deserved it more. Kdadi did it deliberately for sure.

Kdadi during gayu's 2nd pregenancy showed very less excitement but for naira she just jumping around. At the same time i'm happy that someone like gayu has kept manish and kdadi in place. She has raised her voice taking a stand for herself. Surekha chachi was very wrong in accusing naira. You couldn't teach your sons what is right and wrong and you are balming naira because she sent them to jail that's entirely wrong. Don't forget your mansi would have been in jail if naksh and naira wouldn't have taken the case back.

if we actually think about it, gayu has a very painful and traumatic life that was not her fault at all, unlike naira who is herself to blame for most of the things that went wrong in her life.

First her biological father left her and her mother when she was a baby, so gayu must have spent her childhood feeling a strong sense of rejection which is not good for a child's well-being. Then when her mother remarries a good man who accepts her as his daughter, she is made an orphan as they both die in a plane crash from what I recall so again she was raised by singhanias after that.

Then naira returns and she feels sidelined by the the two people she saw as substitute parents, naithik and akshara. Then she faces rejection from her first love. Then she loses her second love tragically who leaves her pregnant before marriage.

She is then convinced by a man to marry him with promises of loving her and accepting her child even when she was not ready to marry and was ready to look after the child without a father like her mother did with her.

After her marriage she experiences all those promises were nothing as her husband neither gives her love or care, and he is neglectful and disrespectful towards her young son who he promised to accept as his own. Now she feels she has no respect or position within her "in-laws" or husband's life either and feels both her and her child are neglected which they are, and to top it off she is in a loveless marriage with a man who has no shame about making fake promises he can't live up to and not acknowledging it.

If I was in gayu's place my level of self-confidence and self-esteem would be at 0. Unfortunately because gayu is not the lead we don't get to see these losses and traumas gayu has gone through as they have not been stressed on at all for most of us to really remember and acknowledge that gayu has gone through so much and almost all the time gayu is perfectly justified in how she thinks and behaves given the insecurities a person would have if they went through with what she has.

If she was the lead, her personal losses and traumas would constantly be pushed in our faces and reminded to the audience and highlighted to make us really feel sorry for and love the character more for their struggles. But because it is a side character, we don't really care and neither do writers care to make the audience care about gayu either even when we should.

Now that I think of it, out of all characters she is the one who actually makes the most sense and is the most justified.

Gayu has lost way too many things in her life. So it is natural for her to feel insecure and frustrated. The problem with this show is that other people's efforts are never acknowledged. Naira, time and again have abandoned her family and others have fulfilled all her duties. And yet she is being called great every two episodes while others are dismissed without a second thought. Even now Kaira have abandoned their family and it is Naksh and Kirti who are fulfilling their duties. But tomorrow when Kaira come back, they will be hailed as mahaan and KeeSh's efforts will be forgotten. And this is precisely what Gayu pointed out. And that doesn't make her evil but just human.

completely agree. Why would they love Vansh more than their own child? how silly. What happened to Krishna?? Where is she?

To be honest the character of gayu deserved to be a lead of the show after akshara. She truly seems to be Akshara's daughter and could have taken the show forward . She was shown much more mature and strong compared to naira . Even after facing all this , she never lost her sense of judgement and never took any stupid decision.

When she learned about naira- kartik affair , she herself handed kartik to naira and was a part of there marriage wholeheartedly .

She has lost a mother twice , once on rashmi's death and again when akshara died.

Still she didn't gave up and fulfilled there dream of becoming a designer .

She was ready to take care of a child alone but was convinced by entire family , even naira kartik to marry samarth chachu .

When she felt that kdadi will not accept her child , she came back to her home but it was naira who convinced her to go back n all .

Trust me !!! It's not easy to be taken for granted . It really hurts alot . Gayu n vansh been taken for granted by Goenka .

She was forced to have another child , she was asked to treat both her children differently. Forget about the family, even if samarth would have treated vansh property , it would have worth it.

Even kaira never spoke a word to samarth .

Even after facing so much I have not seen her breaking down at every minute .she deals with a shit . She has a confidence to stand against injustice . She could have ran away years back but She has not given up . Unlike naira who is crying with each dialogue she delivers. Gayu can be called as warrior . She fought her entire life .

I actually have mad respect for gayu for all these reasons. I think like all the characters, even we as audience take gayu's character for granted and don't really realise how she is probably the most well written character in the show, because she isn't given that much focus. I really wouldn't be able to be that strong and enduring if I had to deal with everything gayu has. She defo deserves appreciation.

So glad to see a fandom like IF yeh rishta fandom who don't blindly love the toxic lead pair or blindly praise them like a certain other toxic couple who are supposedly the number one couple since years on itv, despite barely being together 🥱

agreed.

Yeh rishta is one of the very few forums (in my experience) where leads are not idolized and are infact criticized when the situation calls for it.
