Great post, Labs! 👏

Like you said, the execution so far has been awful for this track. No proper focus on any character - be it Pree, Ru, S, or M. This could have been such a great track - everyone is in conflicting positions here and instead of focusing on each of the characters' reactions and their thoughts, they are just rushing through everything, hell bent on showing a mixture of 'how to commit suicide 101', random family drama, lollipop RuSha scenes, smartass comments by Ahana/Yuvi, with a dash of 'Saransh ke liye' thrown in.

Generally, if there is even one suicide attempt that too by a family member, everyone goes crazy. But here, there have been so many but still the urgency is lacking in the characters. Everyone is back to normal, planning to attend a concert instead of discussing about Mahima's illness, taking her to the doctor, and addressing the big elephant in the room.

Tell me about it....this was a show with so much potential. Medical side of the story is awfully excuted.This is not the first or won't be last either.

Yep, agreed to your point about the trance thing, which is really dangerous for everyone involved. And if Ru had started this after the trance episode, it would have made sense that he really is concerned about S's safety. But he has been losing his sh*t ever since M came back and not willing to give an inch, even when he did not know how bad of a state M is in. Which is why I think most of his reaction stems from possessiveness, rather than just being protective.

In a lot of these cases, generally there is a trigger and for M, that trigger has been S. Every time S has been pulled away, her reaction gets worse. And for her to heal, the trigger needs to be addressed. Not by giving S to M completely, but neither by snatching him away. The answer probably lies somewhere in the middle. I guess both Ru and Pree are just discovering the extent of M's illness, and hence they are reacting in extremes here. But I would love it if the writers address this track maturely and show Ru-Pree solving this together like adults. But this being ITV, I have very low expectations - they will probably take the easy way out and simply turn Mahima into a negative character. 😆

You’re right. But in Ru’s defence, it was hard not to establish his claim over Saraansh since Mahima came in guns blazing and asking for him plus threatening lawsuits 🤦🏽‍♀️ Lol I can’t believe I’m sticking up for Ru since I usually find him to be quite juvenile 😳

For me the most disappointing part is no one properly acknowledging Pree’s rights in this entire drama. Other than Saraansh. He doesn’t waver as to who is mom is.

Also, from a psychological perspective- what do you think Mahima’s diagnosis would be?? There’s no real hallucinations, but she is delusional and has anxiety. But what is this!? She’s not bipolar and I don’t know if this can be characterized as schizophrenia. I’m confused lol

And agree with you both wholeheartedly- this track is awful. Didn’t see you in the forums last few days, but many were ready to call it quits on the show. Ridiculously executed track which is a shame b/c as we saw yesterday AQ and SL are fantastic actors.

I still haven’t seen some of the episodes in their entirety over the last week. I can’t watch Mahima’s suicidal attempts and no one properly thinking of Saraansh’s best interest.

She definitely has severe depression but having said that schizophrenia is a dangerous kind of depression as well.People who suffer from schizophrenia is very very dangerous.Diagnosis will tell if she does.Most likely not but going by the precap she might as well in milder version.I have life experience as my uncle suffer from it.They have to be kept under protective 24/7 surveillance to observe their behavior.

The doctor who gave M the bail from mental clinic should be suspended as well.Where did he get his degree from?

Truly makes me wonder about writer's credentials as well.😆

Pree is in for a ride for sure.So glad she is under suspension.

@bold - this is so true! Like if anyone, Pree has the most rights (not talking legally here) to Saransh currently and S echoes the same sentiments. The only person who has given at least some thought to Pree has been GPS. Everyone else is just thinking about their own selves, with some thought to Pree in passing.

Interesting, I haven't given much thought to her diagnosis. But let's see the symptoms -

- depression

- anxiety

- suicidal thoughts

- dissociative trance

Like you said, probably not schizophrenia, because no hallucinations or disorganized thinking. Not bipolar either, because no mood swings. Hmm, you mention delusional though - when was M delusional?

P.S. - This is given the assumption that the diagnosis is not that M is a negative character and has always been evil. 😆

There small small interaction is taken care of with so much grace.

The makers are probably relying too much on their chemistry and coming up with these half-baked tracks, but chemistry without a proper storyline can only take you so far.

True, they make such a mess of anything remotely involving medicine/science. Makes me wonder why they even choose to go this way, when clearly it's not their forte. 😆
