My older sister was molested when she was 13 (right at the beginning of her puberty). Being the strong girl that she was back then (she still is!), she brought the molester down to his knees, involved the entire family by creating a huge ruckus, and swore to herself that she would never ever talk about it again. Many years down the lane when the topic came up again, I asked her why she made that abrupt decision of never talking about it. Her answer was simple - I REFUSE TO BE A VICTIM AND I REFUSE TO GIVE HIM THAT IMPORTANCE!

I told my older cousin about it and she threatened that boy who molested me. But I wish I told my brother about it so he could’ve beat him up. It’s the only regret I have. He should’ve been beaten up. I don’t even care if he died or had a horrible life after school, I hate that guy. Matter of fact I became racist to the place he is from and hate that place. But yes you can’t be a victim of your past by crying about it. Ejaz kept crying and crying about it, I was thinking he got raped the way he kept crying. I never cried about it, I felt angry every time.

He went through therapy already. He needs to come out of it or else the balance of his life will become a prison for him. He’ll be a prisoner for the rest of his life.

Good for your sister:

Not everyone reacts the same way. Some are bolder others are not.

Your sister had a whole family to support her. Eijaz didn't.

He has multiple issues - broken family, no mother figure, no sisters till very late, molested as a child, broken relationships, etc. etc.

Yes he should have tried to get over it all. Visibly it has left scars on him.

Hopefully he will be cleansed and will be fine one day.

That's all I can say.

My contention is let's not sit on our high horse and judge others. let's be empathetic. That's the least we can do as human beings.

I personally know people who are scarred for life having faced similar issues as your sister. Who are we to judge them? We can only wish them well right?

He is going through therapy. Present continuous tense not past tense;

therapy is fine but you have to overcome the battle yourself. Therapy only is not going to help. Maybe there is more details to the story that he is not sharing, maybe it’s rape. The way he is reacting sounds like a deep secret but if it’s molested case than he needs to heal from that. I don’t know why he is crying like that, he always acts like he is the only one going through the most difficult phase just like kavita said, he has more than what a lot of people don’t even have. He should be grateful and stop acting like a victim all the time

I would have loved to be empathetic, but unfortunately this is a show, and I find it hard to be on the same page as him.

Eijaz was definitely in touch with his extended family. From the looks of it, he had a loving father. Definitely not an abusive one. He should have confided in him.

Sorry, inasmuch as I respect your opinion, I am finding it hard to believe this guy. I am unable to come to terms with his story.

You mean, his therapy has been going on for five years?

my father died when I was a baby so he should be happy that his father is alive still. He acts like he don’t have parents at all. If you have one parent still alive, thank God for that. He should be grateful and stop acting like a victim all the time. I don’t understand why he keeps crying. Like kavita said he has everything but plays victim but why is he doing that for? Is this his real personality? Or something else is bothering him or maybe just playing sympathy card or this is genuine? I never watched him before this is my first time seeing him so I am confused

There is no harm in confiding in a loving parent, especially when you are an adult and have established yourself professionally.

Also, in the task yesterday, he did mention that EVERYONE in his family knows about it, except his dad. I don’t know what his problem is.

Sorry, but this show has become a tear fest. This man has been crying since the day he has appeared on the show.

I am fed up in all honesty.
