Oh I loved that bit....the way she explained how this one 3 hour escape of a movie on a Sunday helps her cope with all the challenges in her life.....it just spoke to the magic that cinema and a good story can be in many people's lives.....but unfortunately most shows are all preachy about any "life lesson" also.....yahaan so far, it was in the flow....and I liked how his mom was like, I have my way of coping but I don't want that for you....I want you to LIVE your life.
Re: Alia.....lol her friend Rabia is clearly the most enthu about the baby so she is sort of micromanaging it for Alia right now....but it's understandable given the issue they are tackling. I actually for once liked the way a sophisticated modern woman's life is being depicted....overdone nahin hai compared to most other stories that have such female characters....Alia has an estranged family background, yes....but even there, it doesn't feel typical cuz she's shown handling her emotions pretty well for the most part....faltu ka OTT drama nahin in the estrangement and they haven't shown it like oh she comes from a broken family toh yeh bechaari.....she's still shown to be smart in her business without getting setback by emotional baggage.....and even with her husband, I liked that she refused his attempt to emotionally blackmail her but still offered to help him in her own way with doing his business pitch.....then in the scene with her maid, you can see she likes to help people in her own way like she funded the education of her maid's child...but she's still cranky with the maid if she interrupts her routine....lol so they are sort of showing all these shades to her personality that I think are making it more natural than a typical "kadak" or "goody goody" character.
Saarang's side of the story has that whole build up from the bottom feel, plus he has a positive and more hopeful attitude about his life right now.....he has more family support too barring his crazy father.....but now he will get transported to Alia's world so that will shift.
Waise I do hope they show Alia tackling Saarang's dad someday....band bajaa degi khadoos dictator buddhe ki😆
I also like the subtle touches they are sprinkling along....Saarang likes to quote Einstein 😆.....and Alia quoted Churchill in a scene with her husband....lol maybe they will both bond over quotations from famous people.....on the surface they seem poles apart but I guess kuch common factor hoga bonding ka.
