What are your "what if" moments of ipkknd ?

Hey everyone .. (:

So i was watching that airport episode of ipk where arnav is leaving for london & despite khushi almost confessing her love ,trying so hard to stop arnav from going he decides to leave .. this scene always make me think what if he hadnt left ? Or what if he had believed her or what if he had left and later comes a situation where he believes khushi but she chooses to not give him another chance ..maybe she gets kidnapped or something like falling off a cliff & he holds her hand just like she did but she chooses to leave his hand like he did in that scene .. ( zyada tou ni ho gaya 😆) basically i wanted arnav to regret for leaving her like that 😒

P.s just felt like sharing these thoughts dont know how many of you are active on forum , share your thoughts about the scene please wanna know your alternate version 😳

I always wondered the same thing about the airport.

Another "what if" moment for me is, what if Arnav reached the terrace first instead of Shyam? What if Arnav never saw Khushi and Shyam hugging? Would Khushi have reached him in time to tell him the truth? Would Arnav have believed her?

A horrible "what if" is... What if Khushi never found out Shyam's truth and got married to him? What if Arnav went ahead and married Lavanya? 😭

Something else I've always wondered is, what if Khushi really was in that ambulance? I wondered about that possibility so much that I wanted to give an answer myself! And that's how Homebound happened 😆

There are sooo many possibilities that we will never know the outcome to. Reason #52457 why I love this show

My list of “what ifs”

1. What if Arnav kissed khushi on Diwali night ?

2. What if pujari didn’t come to offer prasad during the bandage scene 😂 (i know silly right)

3. What if shyam was not a gold digger and just a regular guy who married and realized that he doesn’t fit in the high class Raizada house or was not truly in love with Anjali and genuinely fell in true love with khushi ? That he wanted to get separated from Anjali and marry khushi for love ..trust me During initial episodes i really thought this was the case.

4. What if Arnav reached terrace and confessed ?

5. What if Aarav was really ARnavs kid born out of his brief relationship with sheetal. How would khushi- arnav handled it maturely... ?

6. what if Arnav didnt marry khushi and asked her to choose between him and her mother to get married? - i have read quiet a few FFs on this

7. what if Anjali did not lose her child.. i really wanted a happy ending for Anjali. It was really cruel to kill her child .

8. What if ARnav was not kidnapped and he returns back yo khushi and asks her to prove and works with her to prove her innocence?

9. What if khushi involved her parents and payal to prove her innocence instead of acting like mahatma and ask shyam to come and tell Arnav that she is innocent (this was the stupidest thing that khushi did in the show)

Hmm thats all i can think of right now

Thank you for making this wonderful thread.

Don't worry, there are a lot of people around the forum. I think Diwali made us all a little busy but everyone keeps logging in at least once a day.

I saw the above posts and there are so many What ifs already posted... I don't what more to add. There are What ifs in nearly every episode / track. So many directions the show could have picked.

For eg. When Shyam's truth was not known to Khushi, and there were near misses, I'm sure all of us must have thought of some What ifs.

Again during the contract marriage scenario, whenever Arnav saw Khushi and Shyam together and misunderstood them, we all had those What if moments.

I think IPK maintained suspense very well. One could never be sure of how things were going to end up. I clearly remember how difficult the weekend waits used to be, as we kept wondering about the different things that could possibly happen.

Aah! Reminded me of so many good old memories.

About the scene you said (i.e. Airport scene) I think Arnav must have definitely regretted leaving, especially when he got kidnapped. I remember thinking of this when they showed him holding Khushi's pink pompom (from the sleeve of her dress).

But many have debated that he was already turning back (seen by Khushi and Manorama Mami in CCTV footage). So it is quite possible that he wasn't thinking of leaving, and turned back to go to Khushi, but got kidnapped before that.

Well, who really knows what could have happened. We can only think of various scenarios and keep on writing / reading FFs on them. 😳

That is interesting .. maybe going by arnav s record he would have doubted her at first and maybe asked khushi to marry him anyways (to protect his di ) and later with time and growing attraction with her ..he would have believed her 😳

That would have been Good for fans bad for lavanya ☺️ but he would have insulted khushi later on so its good kiss didnt happen then 😒

Shayam was a sweetheart in initial episodes this would have been so interesting to watch ..

Honestly i felt maybe this was writer s initial plan .. but with the then ongoing bashing by fans they decided to change it .. i have read so many stories on sheetal s track and found them quite interesting and better than original show s plot ..

Idk if its true but i read somewhere long time back that initially khushi was supposed to get kidnapped and arnav was to rescue her from shayam ..

Han ye zyada sensible lgta instead of her trusting shayam to prove her innocence ..but maybe she was worried k arnav will accuse her family or say anything that might hurt them

- What if Arnav stayed on the terrace for the whole conversation?

- What if Khushi had told the truth to Anjali?

- What if Anjali already knew the truth?

- What if Arnav told Khushi what he saw on the terrace on that night?

- What if Khushi decided to tell the truth to Arnav?

Yes you are right about it in cctv recordings arnav was going back .. but just in that moment when he leaves her hand and go i felt he should have been on the receiving end of this scene as well .. 😳 aur redemption tou show mai mila hi nai theek sy ..🤔 but phir b jitna mila acha tha 😊

Basically you didnt want the misunderstanding about shayam & khushi ..i loved the love-hate arhi track be it in marriage or office so i was actually ok with the misunderstanding 😳 but yes i wanted arnav to make up for his rudeness once he realized that he was at fault

I totally agree. Although I've read enough debates over why Arnav didn't need any redemption and hiding the truth was Khushi's fault in the first place; I think Arnav needed more of a redemption than that one collective sorry that Khushi got. He kinda recompensated when he agreed to marry Khushi with all the rituals and even participated with full gusto, but the reason for agreeing to the second marriage wasn't justified. Had he done it because Khushi wanted a marriage with rituals, I would have forgiven him far more easily. But when it was prompted by Dadiji and others, it didn't feel the same. 🤔

I don't know whether they suddenly changed tracks for any particular reason or what happened. Because Arnav's redemption track had been hinted towards multiple times during the kidnapping track. Like Naniji regaled Khushi with the childhood story of how Arnav punished himself by becoming Murga. Then again when Arnav called Khushi from the kidnapper's phone (Shyam's ploy to test Khushi's loyalty) and he says "Mene tumse to maafi mangli but I'll never be able to forgive myself" (for hitting Khushi on the head during hut scene).

All these were a clear hint that Arnav would punish himself - not because Khushi wanted so, but because he himself couldn't have lived with the fact that he hurt her so much.

After kidnapping track, it was again implied when Khushi left home and Arnav comes to know that she has gone because the contract is coming to an end. He says he would win her back, Hamesha ke liye.

But for whatever reason, they decided to fast forward through the redemption + wooing track and jumped into Dadiji's entry and remarriage. I wish we could come to know what they had originally planned to show. Sigh!

Anyway, I'll end my rant here since it has gone way too much off topic. I'm almost tempted to not post this 😆 but I've typed out a lot so won't let the efforts go waste 🤣.
