In other words, will he finally, finally claim the top spot as his own?
The Khans and Akshay Kumar craze is already dying down. No matter what anyone says, they are in their 50's and I don't wanna be ageist or anything but their time of playing the lover boy and masala hero is coming to an end. Already, their movies are no longer HGOTY for the last 2 years. Audience, especially those born after 2000, are not enamored by them any more.
If Hrithik is smart enough to play his cards right, he has every chance of becoming numero uno. Yes, 20 years have passed and even he is not in his prime any more, but he legit has these movies lined up which are very promising be it the latest franchise of Krrish, the next part of War and so on.
The only obstacle I think in Hrithik's path is Hrithik himself. He just doesn't take the number game seriously enough and limits himself to one movie in 2 years, which might adversely impact the craze or aura around him. Out of sight is out of mind for a majority of the audience.
Salman and Akshay are doing trashy movies nowadays, and Hrithik is more careful about content/quality than these two.
So do you think he will do a hostile takeover and disrupt the Khan monopoly this decade at least? Or will it be someone else like Ayushmann or Ranbir?
