Kabir is a man of honour.
He met and fell in love with a girl when they were mere teenagers. Though it is tough to love someone who was never "alone", he still manages to find ways to make her feel special and gift her pretty gifts that every normal teenage girl wants. But the girl he loves is not normal. She's physically incapable of being ever truly "alone" with him, but who can stop love to blossom and root itself to the deepest parts of the soul.
Their love is strong and he promises to come back for her when he has to go for higher studies. And. And. He is the type of a guy who, even when he's a teenager, when falls in love, keeps it forever in his heart and makes sure she feels connected to him always as well. He's the type of the guy who actually comes back and marries the girl he promised to love forever.
(He has no idea that it's not the girl he loved after all, but you know that.)
They do get married, life gets busy and somewhere along the line the spark between them is almost ready to die. Everyone here knows why.
But. But. Kabir is not ready to quit on the love of his life. He is determined to save them, to get better. So, he seeks help, to remind her why they love each other, reminisce their romance and makes each and every effort to keep her happy. It even works for the time being.
"Dil mein joh jagah hoti hai woh sirf kisi ek ko di jaati hai ... usse aur koi nahi le sakta ... na saath jeeke, na saat phere leke, na saath rehke"
But as everyone knows, obsession is never healthy. Someday it would show it's ugly head and destroy what you hold most dear. In the end, this guy, who loved with his whole heart, is left heartbroken. This man, who promised to love a girl forever, is ultimately left "alone" in this world.

Karan, after a lot, a lot of wait (but worth it) got a role worthy of him. (Yes, we'll always think he deserves more and I'm not arguing on that.) He worked so hard, looked absolutely brilliant in the movie, stole the show with his emotions and the over-all portrayal of Kabir. He got the best deal and met the actual love of his life. Alone will always be special. ❤️
P.S. I chose these pictures because one, he worked extra hard on his physique 😍, so it deserves appreciation, and second, ugh look at his face and cry. 😭

Mesmerized Asad, cannot believe he's actually getting engaged to the girl he swore to send packing as soon as possible. He is standing in front of her now, heart and palm open, ready to love her like he wants to. (Obviously he won't say it. He's the person who's actions speak.) So he's showing her he wants it. He would not take his eyes off her, the ring with which he would claim her as his. Intense, almost possessive. For the first time in a long time, he is getting what he wants without even asking. He is not letting go. (Deny all you want Asad miyan, we know what you want. It's all over your handsome face.)

Rishabh Bajaj. The most difficult to comprehend, the most difficult to decipher. His lowered eyes don't speak of romance and shyness. Instead in his half smirk I see destruction. I see rage. I see a king before he delivers the final kill. Also, I see stories untold, stories of past pain and betrayal. He's not a novice to over the top, sinister plotting. He's a man born of it. He lives it. He is it. Mr. Bajaj oozes out power and wreckage. No one, absolutely no one would be spared from it. That, is how the Devil smiles.
