See, Mami wasn't a close one to Anirudh. So it was totally Sumati's call to punish Mami. But in case of Saudamini, she was his best friend, a close one. So it's his call how to punish her for that selfish and greedy act of hers.
First of all its not about whose call.! Ani knows about mami very well and also he knows how cruel she can get to stoop low.! He doubted them before aswell.!
