Do the Khans celebrate mediocrity?

The Khans are stuck in reverse gear. All they want to do is masala movies with over-exaggerated scenes, pop patriotism, hackneyed dialogues and slapstick comedy.

Having said that, the hardest thing is to break out of the clutter when you're a big star because all you want is to maintain your position. It's very sad though. It's also a fear that my fans won't accept me like this...so let me give them what they do accept.

And before anyone cites Aamir Khan, for every Dhobi Ghaat and Talaash, he also has a Dhoom 3 and a Thugs of Hindoostan.

Compare them to Amitabh Bachchan, who is experimenting with content films like Piku, Gulabo Sitabo, Badla etc. He's also a better actor than all 3 of them combined.

Again, I would like to say that Aamir is still experimenting more than Salman and SRK....3 idiots and Dangal are 2 of my favourite movies

But Sallu definitely basks in mediocrity and kitsch!

SRK has been dabbling in mediocrity in his recent movies!

Why just Khans? All mainstream actors celebrate mediocrity.

Bollywood celebrates mediocrity and the audience is no less

They need to re invent themselves and fast.

It's really time to choose Father roles.

Yes, but they say their stardom is not mediocre so it’s fine acc. to them

Most movies are like that. Even Amitabh did such movies.. He made nonsensical movies under ABCL. He dabbled into other stuff only after his company went belly up.

It is not just movies.. tellywood is far worse. We had brave serials like Hasratein, Dard etc.. Audience will cry foul if something like that is shown on TV.

Won't blame audience for everything, even producers want to play it safe with masala movies.. After all they are in a business...stars merely do what works for them. Maybe factors feeds each other and mediocre movies end up being made
