The Girl From That Antique Box
My mind is so much like the ocean... waiting for the incoming ship, calm on the surface with so many deep undercurrents, all of them with their own purpose! --- With fearful glances Bondita is hiding there, waiting for him!
"I know ... I know he is coming for me! That scented message on the swiftly moving breeze whispering into my ears now... yes ... he is coming, the message is in the air! Bringing all those brimming smiles for me ... he is coming! "
She smiled. Is it a smile or a moonlit night's descriptive poem? An innocent bud's eagerness to look at the supporting twig's swaying assurance?
" I have always thought of these steps as an assurance approaching me like a tender heart's caring gesture!"
She inched her nose a little nearer to the passing away of that fragrance... silence crashed down around her! Waiting... waiting for whom? For those assuring eyes which always searches for her, eager to hide her behind those expressive bowers... yes .... waiting for that safe haven... her heaven on earth!
"Please ... come to me, am I not your little Bondita? They all said you are my patidev, but I know you are my friend in need, and indeed!" An expectation in that heavy breathing, an expression in that exhausted waiting!
I can feel my bangles stick to the perspiration on my arms to maintain the silence for our long-awaited meeting... our punarmilan , I must be as beaded as the dawn grass now. My hand begins to shake in a way I can't control, all I can do is waiting for you! ------------
"Bondita ... where are you? I am here like a wishful warrior ready to wage a war against all odds to win you back for my sake! At present, I am a 'sapnon ka soudagar' searching for my precious gem.
Searching for her gives me time to let my mind escape the boundaries of the ordinary, to think beyond the kiddish bonding, now I have to save the light of my life! I ponder the threads that bind one person to another in such a way that the wounds that separated us are now meaningless. I explore the origins of our close association, searching for her to own her again to keep her safe inside my heart forever. I would give up an eternity of tedium to simply solve a great mystery, I will search for her as if searching myself in my unknown surroundings!
He goes to the box and gets back. An inner voice's warning...'the treasure of your life is stored in that box,' he was about to open it, ...
With wide eyes, she said to herself....'I know that gentle touch... the touchstone of assurance! '
There is a kind of waiting that feels like a gentle onshore breeze raising up to the sky to bring back that moisture to the sea to make circles in the swaying waters!
The girl from that antique box ... stood there like his life's treasure trove! A moment that loves to stop, but brimming smiles from those moistened eyes moved the time forward so fast!
"Bondita...there is some fascinating secret hiding in your eyes, that is more beautiful than your innocent glances, so pure, so perfect, beautifully blissful!
Whenever you twirl your lips in innocence, a delicate rose petal slipped from them as your enchanting smile!
In your eyes, there are waves as well , because they replicate the ocean's presence there, in those deep thoughts! Sometimes I feel your silence conveys a more beautiful message than a musical symphony!
I'll express my love through my tears, so you know it's true. There's nothing on earth I would not do for you. Because you're the one, you're one-of-a-kind. I'm proud to be able to call you mine Bondita ... you are mine! Ohh, what an expression on your face when I opened the lid, And I took your hand, caressing it as my gentle calming gesture. .
I've waited since ages for your arrival ... Just to see your smile, to hold it in my eyes, to keep you away from the world's harm....Oh, how I'll miss that smile, all I can say now is... I am here to take you away from all pain and sorrow, to keep you safe in my own tender thought! You are the life within my soul, the other half that makes me whole. You are my dearest friend ... forever ... forever. Come Bondita ... I'll carry you back home in that antique box palanquin!
