They got off of the car that Kaka sent to the station to pick his son and daughter-in-law. The entire Roy Choudhury mansion was decorated like a bride. Hearing the arrival of the car, Kaka had run to the main door, with aarti ki thaali to welcome them. He saw Aniruddh standing near the car but Bondita was nowhere to be seen. Kaka came out and looked for Bondita. "Bahu kahan hai Aniruddh?" Kaka asked, albeit softly. He had waited for a really long time for the Lakshmi of the house to return, for the roshni of the house to return but today, she wasn't there opposite of what he had anticipated. "Kaka, woh, woh. Bondita nahi aayi saath." Aniruddh said, in a low voice, as if defeated. "Kya matlab hai tumhara Aniruddh? Tum Bahu ko toh lene gaye the toh kyun nahi aayi woh?" Kaka asked, worried and also seemingly upset. "Itni aasaani se aayegi kya woh?" Aniruddh said, tears brimming in his eyes. He was feeling weak and wanted to collapse but held himself with all the energy in his body. "Kyun nahi aayegi? Ye uska apna ghar hai. Yahan kyun nahi aayegi?" Kaka asked. "Apna ghar? Maine bhi yahi kaha tha. Ye uska apna ghar hai. Woh hasne lagi mujhpe. Kehne lagi uska apna ghar hota toh aise ek galti karne pe humnein usko nikaal nahi diya hota." Aniruddh said, tears finally making their way down his cheeks. "Humein thodi na pata tha Aniruddh ki usnein jaan kar kuch nahi kiya." Kaka said. "Main bhi Mini ke ghar reh gaya tha na? Maine bhi toh paap Kiya tha? Mujhe toh kisi mein nahi nikaala ghar se? Kyun? Kyunki ye mera apna ghar hai." Aniruddh said with a sarcastic laughter. He didn't bother to answer much and left to his room. He still had a longer time of repentance.
